Trying to get this place cleaned up a bit for movie night tonight with a few friends. Who knows what we're watching, we'll likely decide when everyone gets here.

I'm ready to file both of mine, but isn't the IRS closed due to the government shutdown?

Been a nice, relaxing weekend...was a bit under the weather this past week so needed a full day yesterday of taking meds every 4 hours, resting, football and booze.

Ready for more of the same today.

My fiancee is doing hers today as well, she's getting a boatload back. I did a rough estimate of mine and quit when I saw how much they were f**king me. I'll wait until April 14th to file, by then I'm sure NYS will have their crap together too.

On topic, I'm about to re-watch Hell Fest before I have to return it to Redbox.

Reading up on Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass. I'm considering subscribing to one of these services since I now have high-speed internet. I'm not in any rush to do so, yet.

IF everything goes according to plan, i'll be able to get a new tv (65", smart, 4k) for my mom; as well as one (43", smart, 4k) for myself. both would be an upgrade in both size and quality with regards to our old ones (especially since my mom's stopped working a couple weeks ago).

Well good for you; if I did mine correctly (I only did a rough estimate mentally) I'm only getting enough back to buy a few bargain bin(<$10) BDs.

Since the NFL game is a blow out, switched over to watch the UT @ UGA women's basketball game on ESPN to see my niece play some good ball, unlike the LAC.

went out and burned some old cut-off wood from previous projects. i've been needing to do that for a good while (since about early summer, last year), and i finally decided to get off my ass and go out and get it done.

also, i use the ashes in my compost pile since they're really good for plants/flowers.

now i'm just sittin' here chilin'.....smellin' like smoke, lol. i need to take a shower 'cause i stank.

Just came back from a 2.5 mile run, only 19 degrees (wind chill of 8) so it was a chilly one. Gonna warm up a bit by playing some Spiderman - there's still some side missions I haven't beaten - until the Girl gets home from the store so we can decide on what we're having for dinner.

I just finished fixing my leaky kitchen faucet. I replaced the washer in the cold water valve stem, but it was still dripping.

I ended up using my HDX reseating tool and no more drips.

I need to get out and clean up the fallen branches ( some pretty big ) in my backyard but,
it's just so easy to put it off

I've got a 3 sided fireplace/pit out there that can take anything up to 3 foot long.
Just so hard ( for me ) to get out there and do the work

( chronic back pain sucks

good days are far and few between

)

i got up most of the branches/limbs/twigs about a week ago. but there were still some smaller ones still hanging around that i didn't get to. so i just threw those into the barrel, as well, and burned them.
