Trying to play Bayonetta on my PS3 after a 2-month hiatus. God, I really hate this game. I am about to give up and find something else to play.

The fyre documentary was amazing. Watched the Hulu one the next day. I think the Netflix one had more info and backstory. Sure they didn’t interview Bill, but he didn’t tell us much.

and breakfast. Made my fiancee some French Toast and Bacon since I was a little rough with her last night. I don't hate my job but I hate 90% of my co-workers and the crazy schedule we're currently on, but of course I hold it all in til I get home...it's starting to become a major concern around here. Wish I could find something different to do, but unfortunately I'd be taking a drastic pay cut and not really in a position to do that. I need to make some serious changes, I need to simply leave my work life at work from here on out(easier said than done).

while true (and you also leave your home life at home when you're at work)....it does help to decompress from time to time.

i don't get along with everyone i work with. hell, i don't know anyone who does. it's just nature of being human, i guess. we're all different people and like/want/need different things. it's not right or wrong....just different.

but do try to decompress every now and then. whether it's just screaming while you're driving home, or putting on some music that gets you going (hard-driving classic rock is mine) and just getting into it to release some energy. it helps....i know. even posting in the "anger" and "pet peeves" threads helps me release and get it off my mind.

granted there are times when i complain about work stuff while i'm at home. but it's usually just to get it out and off my mind so i don't stress about it. i rarely get stressed, and i wanna keep it that way as much as possible.

I have to show photo identification, have a facial scan to monitor my eye movements, and there's a live person watching me while I test.

They have control of my laptop as well.

And I have to rotate my webcam so that they can observe my room for any materials which I could use for cheating.

yep. i used to work for a company that did that. very time-consuming and monotonous...and tedious. it's just the same thing over and over and over and over...

of course, you get to see the many, many ways people try to cheat on exams...and get caught.

Well honestly? As someone who retains very little after a class, I think a little cheating is harmless as long as you're putting in the work to pass the class. I have trouble remembering some things, no matter how much I study. Been goofing off a bit too much lately, need to buckle down this weekend and really hit the books some more.

the big thing with cheating and using a proctoring service are the contracts...

the proctor company and the school/institution have a contract where it's implicitly spelled out that the proctor company will attempt to catch and document all attempts at cheating, no matter how insignificant. if they don't, then the school/institution can either claim breach of contract or simply not pay the (up to) millions of dollars these contracts are worth.

the company i worked for had contracts with over 1200 schools (middle/high schools, universities, technical institutes) and companies. the biggest challenge for those of that were proctors was knowing all the rules of each one. some allowed test takers to use books/notes, where others didn't allow anything at all. and it never failed that someone thought they were being slick and would try to cheat, but they'd get caught. there was even a few people who were banned from using the service because they got caught cheating so much. and they were forced to do a live proctored session where they would have to sit in a room with another person who would just sit there and watch them, live, to make sure they didn't cheat. also, there was one case where a girl was kicked out of school for doing it so much.

we'd get death threats and bomb threats so much from people who got caught cheating. and when they'd fail their exam, for something they did, they would say it was our fault. most of the time it was people just being idiotic and saying shit they didn't really mean. but each time they did, the school would be notified and they'd open an investigation that involved the police. i'm obviously not saying you're like that. just offering some info from someone who worked in that business for a few years.
