I’m looking forward to it, man. I’m big on getting away from civilization.

Finally finished scrubbing the deep fryer that's been sitting on our counter for a year and a half unused. Totally reminded me why I'm no longer work in fast food. Now back to what I do best, sitting out on the deck drinking a beer with the Lady. I'm now staring at the Jeep and wondering how I let the salesman talk me out of the gorgeous Ford f150 Raptor I was looking at for this ugly thing. Sure overall cost and fuel mileage must have played a key role. Oh well experiences we learn...

Just take the canoe out and see where it takes you.

I hear that! I go up to the mountains every year for my birthday. I love the solitude and the multitude of trails & fishing spots near by. Oddly enough i actually met my fiancee on one of those trails, and we're tying the knot on that very same trail next month. Unfortunately that's all I'll be doing up there this year, no fishing, camping,or much hiking til our annual family get together at the end of the summer.

Sitting here drinking a beer and trying to digest another piss poor meal. Earlier it was a horrible burger and now it’s Pizza Hut. Which is usually pretty good. Anyway, had the job interview, but not sure how it went. Again, I’m cautiously optimistic I’ll get a callback, but I’m going to keep plugging away and keep filling out applications.

Dug out, dusted off and connected our old Wii. My youngest has never played it. So we played several games of bowling, tennis and baseball. Then I started feeling this pain in my shoulder. I actually threw out my shoulder playing Wii sports. WTF!? Family is still laughing at me. It hurts. Lol. So now I'm going to make a cocktail and retire to my fortress of solitude to lick my wounds. #GettingOld

You know it is funny. I was hot on a Jeep when we lived in Washington. Same with the Charger/Challenger’s, but both they and Charger’s are everywhere around here. As our Mustang’s, but I’ve only seen my unique color twice.

Sitting here rehydrating and playing catch up in the forum. House is pretty quiet. So I’m trying to decide if I’m watching Throne of Blood or Friday? I’m thinking Toshiro Mifune, for all he brings to a performance and being able to concentrate on the subtitles with little distractions outside of my MiL’s tv being too loud. I guess it depends on if I get distracted or not. I still need to pop onto Indeed to see if anyone has dropped anything new.

Well I saved ~$20000 by going "practical" but I still have buyer's remorse. I'll probably be trading the Jeep in for another truck (hopefully a Raptor) in 2022 unless I find a too-good-to-pass-up deal before then.

OT: Coffee and thinking about how I'm going to tackle the day today. Got some errands we need to run, I need to pick up a new pair of boots for work and a few other items.
