I can relate. I went to art school and had hoped I’d put that to use once I graduated, but sign shops were the only ones interested for some reason. So I eventually ended up in retail management. That eventually segwayed into sales and then retail merchandising until our son was born. The problem here in Texas is they consider a lot of jobs merchandising, but they aren’t. Being part of a reset team has nothing to do with merchandising.

I’m at the point where I’m looking for another direction and opportunity. And that might not be the company that was 2 no shows and an interview at another location. No matter how much my wife might think it is. I keep getting the silent treatment when I try to talk about it. So I’m thinking she’s still got the ass I didn’t interview with the two drivers on Monday. She thinks it’s about pride when it is about professionalism and communication.

i cut the back yard earlier and already took a shower. it's so damn hot and humid outside that both my shirt and shorts looked like i'd been swimming with them on. i thought about cutting the front, too, but eff that noise...it's just too damn miserable.

i've been looking at things that take me back to being a kid in the 70s/80s. things like the old hbo feature presentation opening cinematic (and the behind-the-scenes of how it was created)...which reminded me of watching star wars on tv when it first aired on hbo (i watched it every...single...time it came on)...then reading about the original death star model and what happened to it and where it is, now. and then thinking about weekends at my grandparents' house; watching those awesome 70s/80s programs with them, then staying up late on saturday night to watch saturday night live (before it sucked)..

Speaking of interviews. Maybe the universe (or my subconscious) doesn’t want me to be a driver. I went to pick up something at Walmart and got pulled over by the local police. He says I ran a stop sign, I say I didn’t, but I was driving my old truck that is uninsured. So got popped on that too. Wondering how much this is going to cost me. Outside of the continued ass from my wife

On my break, checking in with the girls at home. Sounds like my future sister in law is on her way up from PA for the wedding Sunday. Guess it's official now I AM going to work on the house a bit after work today, I'm in no hurry to see her sister.
