just finished working on a plumbing issue (slow drain).

i HATE working on plumbing. i'd much rather deal with electrical problems than plumbing. but...i got it fixed so it's all good. thankfully it wasn't something major.

The Mrs and The Boy are going to out later, but she’s got a conference call right now. So I’m staying out of her hair and praying he doesn’t start any shit while she’s on the phone. Apparently I’ve been put on quartermaster duty while she’s away.

Sitting here enjoying the silence. The Mrs and The Boy are off on a play date with his little friend and it is just The MiL and I. Almost have the bed pieced back together. Just waiting on the comforter to finish drying. So I’m skimming through the forum to kill some time.

had a fun hour and a half at work just now

guys on the roof doing some work. they hit...something...and it knocked out our network. which in turn shut down our pos system, we couldn't use any of our registers, the credit card machines were down, and the printers were all offline (they're all network printers).

it was so much fun having to do things manually.

what's worse, they ****ed something up last week and caused a major flood back in the receiving area and 2 additional sections. which, in turn, ruined a whole BUNCH of merchandise. these guys are gonna end up paying us for the work they're doing if it keeps up like this.

Working some OT til 1400 or so... Currently on my lunch break, eating a Butterfinger bar and talking to my daughter on the phone. Sounds as if my parents are upset that I just dumped her off at their house at 2:30 this morning without any advance warning. I dunno how they can be upset when they told me I could drop her off anytime I needed a sitter and i spoke with my mom last night to make sure they didn't have a prior engagement. I give up...today is the last time I'll ask for a favor from them.

I tell you Mike, we both need better family. I cut myself off from my parents on a trip to Disneyland. Long story short, who goes there and doesn’t want to spend time with their grandson? Everyone else is pretty much kept at a arms distance. They follow me on Facebook and that’s good enough for me.
