Only if that gas station is Casey's :-) They're the best! Wish we had them on the east coast, our local breakfast pizzas suck.

Oh yeah my dad's family were all from Iowa, we'd drive out there pretty much every summer and arrive early in the morning...Casey's was always our first priority for coffee and breakfast pizza Ah, the memories( mind you this was back in the 90s, we haven't been out since 2003?)

Working more overtime til 1400 or so today then maybe grabbing a couple beers with a buddy of mine who's an OTR truck driver and is home for a week before he heads back out west. I say maybe because technically I should get home to the kid - today's the first day I decided she was old enough to stay home alone all day

Sitting here trying to relax, but the house won’t allow it. One of my son’s fish jumped ship last night right before bed. So that has turned into a thing. Apparently we’re having a funeral instead of a burial at sea like it was done when I was a kid. I’ve literally one more day until I start work and just want to chill folks

WTF? I don't mean to sound insensitive but who the heck buries fish? Every fish I've ever had that died got flushed. Even my daughter's and that first one was a hard one on both of us, it spiked questions about life and death which of course brought up her biological father who died in combat when she was an infant....

Any way.... Back on topic, I'm sitting on my break trying to decide if I want to leave at 1400 or stay til this shift is done which will probably be 1630-ish. Extra ot pay is good but on the other hand it's SUNNY outside and I still have the next 4 days of this b.s.

...i think I just made my decision!

Nah and I get it Mike. Hell, even my MiL is like WTF?!? Although she’s of a ‘This is just the way with it. Nothing we say is going to change it.’ Which is kind of sad, because I feel like a paycheck if that’s the case. I love him, he’s our son, but know you might understand why we’re having marital issues.

Sitting here drinking some water and listening to Spotify. I’m not sure what my next move is. We were planning on starting up our MCU marathon with Iron Man 3, but we’re just sitting here listening to some alternative for the moment. I’d take a nap if I wasn’t starting work tomorrow.
