Well, it could be better. Got woke out of a nap by the 10 year old flipping out about the electricity going out. Got tired of listening to his magpie mouth and sitting out in the carport wondering about dinner.

Also wondering if I should drive down to the new job to see if the power is out there. I’m supposed to be starting at 0900 and according to the electric company it won’t be back on until 2100 tonight. That’s best case scenario. Then I’ll have to get everything back online here before I head off to bed.

went to eat lunch at the restaurant where my oldest niece is a manager. had a nice steak & baked potato. my youngest niece came in as well (she works there part time).

Sitting here, drinking some water before I shave and take a shower. First official day of my new job today and hoping it is a good one. I ended up driving down to the store last night and attending a bi-annual meeting. It was definitely a lot of “Don’t you know this?” and me feeling like I may have gotten in over my head. Hopefully that’s just nerves from not being on the sale floor in a long time.

Lunch break and double checking my daughter's doctors appointment. I had scheduled it for 11am because their schedule was full for afternoons/Fridays but had the wife try working her magic and she managed to get a 2pm appt so guess I'm only stuck working another 3hrs

Sitting here at the pediatrician's office waiting for my daughter's doctor to see her. It's ridiculous, we've been waiting a half hour already, why do they schedule appointments if they're not going to keep them? Guess I didn't need to race to get here on time. /sigh

On the plus side the kid just asked if we could get Chinese for dinner, it's been awhile so it sounds good to me. Assuming we get out of here anyway, all this for a damn annual physical and her latest series of shots (hep B, tetanus, pertussis) which is apparently required for entry to 7th grade in our state. Oh well..

Sitting here listening to Spotify and chilling. Had a pretty great first day, but I was basically resets because they were having computer issues. I didn’t even have an employee number until around lunch lol. Anyway, wondering if I should take a brief siesta before dinner. I don’t have to be until 1000. Thinking I’m calling it an early night. I don’t have to be in until 1000, but The Mrs is headed into town early Wednesday morning for a few days. So I’m going to try to spend a little time with her if I can. We’ll see how that plays out though. Night all.

Just wrapped up a hot cup of coffee and the forum. So I’m going to drink some water before I start getting cleaned up for my day. It looks like I get keys today and some computer training. Have no idea what’s going on outside of that? Hopefully it is another uneventful day and goes by fast. My brain kept waking me up and I’m feeling tired because of it.
