Getting ready for work at 8AM. Found out over the weekend that the union workers are striking and now us mobility folks have to fill in based on all of our extensive (sarcasm) training. What a mess. I'm none too pleased to have to potentially walk through a picket line.

Nursing a slight hangover (could've been a lot worse if I didn't smarten up and switch to water last night) with some yummy hot coffee and listening to some tunes while the homemade cinnamon buns the kid and I made at 1:00 in the morning bake... The wife's tired from not getting much sleep the past 2 weeks so I'm basically just trying to keep things quiet around here so she can sleep.

Everyone is asleep. I crashed early last night, so like Mike, I’m trying to keep it quiet for The Mrs to sleep. I thought about waking her up, but quickly decided against it. I’m not up for getting the day off to a bad start. I’m sure she’s still tired from her trip. So I’m sitting in the front room all alone. I have the day off and The Boy wants me to watch A Dog's Way Home with him today. I guess that’s a start on he and I working on things.

Glad everything's starting to get better for you, Don! Enjoy "A Dog's Way Home," it was pretty good, we liked it, watched it with my 11yr old.

Well staying quiet so the Mrs could sleep backfired on me. She woke up and started complaining about why the house looks like a tornado hit it. I honestly don't think it looks too bad,well not too bad considering I've been working more hours than I've been home lately and we've only been in this house for what, 3weeks, but I decided to step out on the patio with my coffee and let her actually wake up before I confront her again. Still anxiously waiting to hear this big exciting news she said she had.

Heh that was kinda how it went for me today at Sprint. I had an appointment at 11, showed up at 10:55. The staff on-hand ignored me until 11:10 which is when I left. Then I went back and had to wait what seemed forever behind some woman who was buying screen protectors for her phone. Finally got to talk to a salesperson and ended up just getting my new phone from Best Buy. Oh well, at least it's a rare color for that phone and it will be a bit cheaper. Not to mention Friday isn't that far away.

Well, I wouldn’t say better, but at least I’m working Mike. I’m still trying to work out what my role is in this house. Husband/Father or paycheck? I wanted to make a brief comment on my new job while my son was going to the restaurant bathroom and got shot down. Clearly, unless it is “Everything is awesome!” she doesn’t want to hear it.

The sad part was, all I wanted to say is what I said in another thread about my new boss. “How can you expect people to be held accountable if you aren’t communicating your expectations?” Outside of that and not having much product knowledge I’m enjoying the job so far. Which was where I was going with the conversation had been shutdown

Well, it wasn’t like I was ignoring her or anyone else Bat’s. We just a lunch rush and a few unfortunate things happen while most of our crew was out to lunch. I had a customer sent to the register for me to call another store (WTF?!?), the magnetic that takes the security tags off flew off and locked onto the bottom of the register shelving and it was only my second day on a register.

One of the customers assured me that needing to wait in line wasn’t anything to get upset about. We’ll see if the lady complains or I hear anything from the store manager on Monday. I’m hoping week 2 is uneventful. I’ve got things to learn and finish up. Why the boss thought it was a good idea to assign me projects is beyond me

Slept in a bit today after a really fun date night. Gladys and I met up a little after 5pm and we said our goodbyes at about 3:30am. It was really nice and while I won't say it's felt like I've known her forever or anything like that, I would guess that anyone who saw us last evening would never know it was only our second date and our first proper date.

Date was:
Movie
Eat at this Cajun place in the food court while wait for movie
Quick stroll around mall after the movie with a stop at Yankee Candle to check out some scents and talk a little politics with the two female employees.
Stop at Cheesecake Factory where we decided to split a piece of White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle
Took the cheesecake to the top of Communication Hill so I could show her the view of some city lights. Sit and lay out under the stars and enjoy the cheesecake while we listened to music on my iPad.
Went to Walmart to buy a blanket and then took her up to this park/reserve where I thought we would spend the night (in the car) but unfortunately it was closed.

The date continued for awhile after that and I hope I don't have to wait too long for our third one. Just in case anyone was wondering, no sexual cravings of any sort were satisfied last evening

installed a new browser...so i'm taking it for a spin.

seems good, so far. it's speedy, which is a +, and seems to be decent at blocking ads, which is a definite +. and i like the images you get when you open a new (blank) tab.

If your wife is at least spending some time with you you’re ahead of the curve Mike. I feel like mine has done her best to avoid me. So I’m sitting here drinking some bourbon. I ended up lying down after dinner because I wasn’t feeling too well. I got a little dizzy and the next thing I know I was out like a light? I’d still be asleep if our son wasn’t constantly being a pain in the ass. I honestly don’t know how much more I can take of this.
