Even mom&pop shops can handle this nowadays, but it's a hefty investment and comes with subscription like fees so many don't bother.

When we bought our jeep, the dealer was running a special on "free lifetime oil changes, tire rotations and state inspections" which I've personally took advantage of, when they suggest something else I just nod and say thanks for the heads up but I'll pass for now. But even that simple of jobs tend to take them forever to do - my last "free oil change" with an appointment took about 2 freaking hours. I looked at another customer waiting and said gee my 11yr old daughter could have done it in <10min.

I went downtown to look for a left side bolt for the lawnmower wheel since it keeps popping out every damn second. Frikkin Runnings store doesnt even have any. So Im SOL until October when i go out of town.

also tonight and tomorrow im doing a Star Wars movie marathon for DVD. Return of the Jedi, Force Awakens and Last Jedi

I just got done with The Boy’s 2nd time out and put his phone in timeout for getting too spicy with me when I got home. I’ve dropped people like a sock for less. At least I got a PB & J and coffee this time around. In lighter news, aside from my B12 (what’s that?) everything looks good. I do need to make an appointment with the podiatrist in Shreveport though

Its finally the weekend! Having a rum & coke (since I'm outta beer) while the kid finishes her homework, and packing up for our weekend backpacking trip, pulling the kid out of school early tomorrow so we can get an early start because we're hiking 15-16 miles in and I really don't want to set up camp in the dark.

I couldn't watch TFA on dvd. I haven't watched it on Blu for quite awhile because I'm waiting for the 4k. I love that movie!

I am recovering a bit from a sickness bug. I didn't work today, but likely will tomorrow.
I'm also getting psyched for my trip south next week.

Drinking coffee and watching a video of an idiot mechanic out on the west coast who uses nothing but zip ties and chewing gum to fix car issues. I can't believe what I'm watching, apparently one of his customer's cars blew up on the freeway and he wasn't held responsible. All I can think of is if he did any of this kind of crap to my car, I'd skip law enforcement and courts and go over to his place myself and put a bullet in his head. No place for stupidity in this field, either fix it right or don't do it at all.

edit - getting ready to pay some bills and finish packing for our little weekend adventure
