Calling my daughter's doctor to make a follow-up appointment for next week, as she's currently quarantined for the next 8 days with whooping cough. Funny thing I can't figure out is how did she contract it when she got the vaccine for it just last year

A bit under the weather the past two days but managed to order a replacement wireless Genie for my DirecTV system (the wifey and I have a football scheduling conflict this weekend at 1PM) and schedule a plumber to come out for a severely leaky tub faucet.

Another early morning thanks to The Mrs and Daisy, the newbie, as The Boy calls her lol. Officially wrapped up all of the achievements for Ryse and thinking I might download Star Wars Battlefront 2 and go back to bed. I’m closing tonight and really hoping that today is better than yesterday.

been looking at christmas backdrops for one of our christmas displays. yeah, yeah, i know....it's ONLY oct 1st. but if i don't do it now and find one that i like, it'll be christmas before i realize it and i won't have time to get it done.

Oh, and also trying to figure out which member BizCat wants to see get ass-R... by a bunch of escaped apes

I’m assuming it’s someone from the NFL thread in sports. They probably insulted Brady or Baker Mayfield. If they had insulted his kids, it wouldn’t have gotten so much as a peep from him

Giving a happy birthday shoutout to the CD player. 37 years ago today on October 1, 1982 the first CD player was released.

Just finishing watching the pre-order of Toy Story 4 and eating the last of my spaghetti for the family meal.

Disappointed there isn't a trivia like the other Toy Story films do. Maybe they'll add it later on.

VERY cool! I got Sony's very first 5-disc changer with the wide tray, loved that thing. I guess my audiophilia started at a very young age. It looked something like this:

That's awesome, Rager. I had the Sony 801ES back in the day. In fact I still do... somewhere around here. I need to dig it out one of these days. The rosewood sides were classy. Oddly when doing a search for pics, there's not much out there for this model.

I see that even back then, you held yourself to Elevated Standards (see what I did there?).

Funny I remember the Sony gear with the rosewood sides. But yeah, pics are indeed scarce...the pic above is close to what I had but not quite, since mine was the very first one and this one seems a bit more sophisticated.

Working while sick as a dog. I've been freezing yet sweating like crazy, the wife thinks I have walking pneumonia and wants me to go to urgent care to get checked out but who's got time for that?

I feel ya though, I've been sick for going on my third day. Sore throat, phlegm, all the good stuff. Sucks and I'm not averse to going to the doctor, but I feel like holing myself up in the house and plying my body with water, green tea, protein shakes/protein, vitamins and OTC meds should do the trick...or at least I hope.
