Same old same old. Surfing, coffee, chores and then cleaned up for work. Have tomorrow off and wondering what I’m going to do. I’m pretty sure I’m on my own. The Mrs is headed out of town on Sunday. So she’ll start gearing up for that and making sure The MiL and Boy are squared away. I open on Saturday and that’s got me a bit nervous. Everything will go to plan, I just wish the store manager would get us all on the same frequency. Because this shooting from the hip isn’t working. Enough about my woes. I just wrapped up yet another nonstop 14hr shift (4 of 4)! I'm officially beat, and I still have to drive home. Just spoke with my Wife and apparently it's been raining all day there, and there's some local flooding to include the street we live on so I hope I can actually get home. Ironically enough it's sunny and warm here at work, only 100 miles away.

Just watch baseball play offs which are on in the early morning in Australia so i have the rest of the day to do things (Yankees fan who couldnt get to America this year but is going in April)....Getting lost in Melbourne - sports, restaurants, galleries, bars, cinemas, hikes, Aussie beaches and sometimes just doing nothing and staying home catching up on unwatched BD's & 4K's. I work in aged care (dementia) so i need a break lol.

The bad thing is across the road they are building a new house so from 7am every weekday im woken up by hammering, drills and all.associated loud electric equipment so i picked the wrong 4 weeks to take off if i wanna sleep in lol.

Got woken up at 0700 by my b1tch sister in law banging on our door, unannounced. I'm just drinking coffee and researching how to get away with murder (joking of course but c'mon, if you're gonna visit someone early in the morning at least give them a heads up!) Worst of all she brought her bratty kid with her and he took over our TV with some PBS garbage, don't get me wrong I don't mind a little Sesame Street or Curious George (I grew up on these shows as did my daughter) but some of the other crap on that channel just makes me want to blow my brains out.

Oh well, making some French toast and bacon for breakfast then taking a shower to take the daughter to her doctor's appointment to get approval to return to school after her 2 week quarantine (she had whopping cough). Then she's gonna spend the weekend with her Mom who's back in NY, now that she's stationed at West Point.

Wheeling and dealing in my $100 fantasy football league. Feel like the trades I've made since Wednesday will boost my team quite a bit, especially down the stretch. Also been reading a whole bunch of university power points to review information to this point. Probably should've been reading more of them before, oh well. Still studying far more/harder than I did last term, probably helps a lot that I'm playing video games far less than in the spring.

We're not sure if we're going out for dinner or not, I mentioned staying home and having a couple brews around a fire and making my infamous steak fajitas on the old Coleman and they seemed to be on board for that so we may just do that.

shit, i'm on board for that, Mike. steak fajitas, famous or not, cooked on an old coleman sounds absolutely awesome. couple that with some beers and that's a damn fine way to spend an evening.

i need to find me one of those old coleman's. i know you can buy them new and that they haven't changed a WHOLE lot; but there's just something about the old ones that brings back some memories. (if you're talking about the same kind of "old coleman" i think you are)

c'mon up sk33tr there's plenty of leftovers. The kid's mom never showed up so I volunteered to stay home with the kids and let the ladies go out for the night. The boy's an extremely picky eater, all he wanted was grilled cheese sandwich and my daughter wasn't very hungry, oh well, guess I have leftovers to take to work next week.

And yep I'm sure it's one of those "old colemans" you think it is, it was my parents' back in the 70s. They bought it when they first got together back in the 70s, many years of use and still no wear for the worse. Like a lot of stuff back then they definitely built them to last back then!

o/t: sitting out on the patio drinking another beer and just enjoying the night autumn air while the kids are inside playing Fortnite or Minecraft -- whatever that new game kids are into these days. I just called the kid's mom to give her a piece of my mind, if you plan on spending the weekend with someone and something comes up, at least call to let them know there was a change of plans. Anyways I think I'll go in and watch a Chucky marathon in a bit.
