Watching Legacies and TNF before I write a paper for my Parenting class.

Going to pick up my final paycheck from Cattle Baron after the gym tomorrow, should make for some awkward goodbyes lol

had to get the orajel out and put some on my tooth.

i went to the dentist earlier to day for a cleaning/checkup. i gotta go back later to get a crown. well, 2 actually. i knew i needed 1, but other i didn't know about. apparently i have a tooth (with an old filling) that has a small crack in it. but the one i knew about, it started giving me a bit of pain about 2 weeks ago.

i have a fairly good pain tolerance level. but tooth pain is something i can stand for only so long. so after getting poked and prodded, it started to give me a bit more trouble a little while later. i took some tylenol, but that really didn't help. so i got the orajel, squeezed a bit on the tooth...instant relief.

i hope i don't have to use the stuff every day until i go back for the crown. it doesn't taste bad, it's just annoying having to do it.

Thinking about making another FB post with four or five pictures from my vacation but I'm being a little OCD in that I want to add descriptions to the rest of my pictures in my previous posts. I guess that would be a form of OCD. Another thing I do which is similar is that I will not touch my popcorn or soda until the very first scene of a movie starts in the theater. So tomorrow when I see JoJo Rabbit, if I get anything to eat or drink, I'll wait until all of the previews are shown and any studio credits show before I start eating. And it doesn't matter how hungry I am.

Going to check out more clothes and shoes that I don't really need as well. Don't think I'll be buying anything but I just noticed a near $50 price drop on a pair of tennis shoes that I wouldn't mind owning so that's got me thinking...

Currently watching one of our town's beautiful old hotels built in 1851 on the seafront going up in flames. Utterly heartbreaking watching this, but luckily everyone is accounted for. They're having to pump the water from the sea opposite the hotel but they're having trouble controlling the flames.

So sad.

Working some OT but really considering leaving at 12:30-1pm vs staying til 3 today, my wife just text me to let me know she was taking today off from work and I have so much crap to do around the house before winter officially sets in not to mention I'd rather be with her than working.

Been just over 2 hours since my last coughing fit, maybe this cold really is finally leaving my system. Although the hot doctor did say it's bronchitis so it's not a common cold.

Just dropped $110.50 on some new tennis shoes. Free shipping and the company is in Texas so no tax which is nice. The shoes started at $170 which I would never pay. $110 is more than I want to pay but don’t think they’ll get any cheaper.

Also, I found this woman I used to be in the Marine Corp with. Just sent her a message and she already replied which I wasn’t expecting. Not sure if I’ll reply now or wait. She’s from Kentucky and has one of the twangiest accents I’ve ever heard

Definitely jinxed it as I just had 4 coughing fits, granted 3 of them happened in or right after I was in the bathroom. Think for some reason my toothpaste is making me gag a bit, oh well. Going to shower in a bit, hopefully that won't lead to more coughing.

One of my crushes from my last job is interested in working at my new job, told her to go for it. Almost time for a shower, hopefully I can motivate myself to study at least a decent amount during Thanksgiving break.

I'm chatting with this woman on FB right now. I've seen her before in people you may know as we share several mutual friends. She's a tennis player (recreational) back in Modesto. She's like my age so you know, our best days are behind us, but she is my type

Unfortunately she's married and doesn't live in the Bay Area but we're having a nice conversation. Hopefully we'll meet properly someday. She appreciates Federer but she's a Djokovic fan. She can be forgiven...I think

Drinking some America's Coffee and getting ready to pay some bills, trying to lay low a bit as the Wife has been nagging me about all the hours I've been working. I've got some thinking to do in between chores today. I've been offered a promotion at work which would have me working weekends instead of during the week. Schedule's 0430-1700 three days a week and a little less physical than what I've been doing, but a little added responsibility. Its a position that doesn't open up very often, giving up my weekends doesn't really matter since I usually work OT anyway, but at least in my current position I can go in and just do my job and leave.
