Yep. I haven’t celebrated a NYE for well over 20 years...normally in bed by 8 lol. We thought we’d switch it up this year and do something different. I just hope I can last the night for the fireworks as I feel shattered already.

About to run to the grocery store for some junk food and booze for tonight's festivities and stop at Spectrum to turn in my cable receiver and cancel my service with them, freaking rates keep going up and programming sucks. How are we going to entertain ourselves in the future? Well I guess with the 500+ Blu-rays we have, the mini-Blockbuster Video at my parents' house (they have something like 10,000 DVDs & Blu-rays) and my wife's Netflix subscription I'm guessing we'll manage just fine.

got my new floating shelf finished (made from pallet wood, like the other 2) and mounted on the wall. i put it under my tv; replacing 2 smaller shelves.

We were weathered in so I got to spend another day with My Love!
Watched Canada kick butt in the World Juniors, The Oilers sneak by The Rangers and some pretty good fireworks!

Standing here by the door making this post because it’s the one place that gets cell reception thinking about crawling in bed. Last night was lame-O. I went back to the bar, but it was dead and they closed up before midnight. I’m not sure what to do on my last day off for a bit. Go out and see what’s on sale, look at furniture some more or just chill here
