Took a much needed nap after work today, now enjoying a few beers and watching some movies while the girls are sleeping. My weekend is here, off of work the next 3 days(or two if I decide to work some OT on Thursday)

i used to work in restaurant management....for a little over 20 years. now i work in retail.

i have no idea why i chose the 2 worst careers for having to deal with customers...but there's no turning back, now, lol. it is what it is.

in all honesty, retail is better than food service with regards to customers.

I always forget to take pictures.

It was a hoodie that I was hesitant on purchasing it but ended up loving, a DVD box set that I got for dirt cheap and a series on Blu-ray that I couldn't wait to start watching. A good mix of stuff.

You got the $70 hoodie? I was going to say that we should talk about it as I'm the resident $70+ hoodie-buying guy here

I've actually purchased three hoodies (two full zips and one 1/4 zip) lately. There's a few more that I want but gotta kick back on those unnecessary purchases

No reason to feel ashamed for putting in a honest day's work, sk33tr. What store do you work for, if you don't mind me asking?

As someone who's done both, retail and food service, for many years, I agree retail is a little better when it comes to dealing with the general public. I held a management position in retail for about 6 months before stepping down for reasons I don't feel like mentioning.

I grew up in a retail family and worked the first 23 years of my life in my dad's stores and at Costco.

Working in graphics studios comes with more bs and the money isn't much better. I miss retail sometimes.

sometimes i wish i could do an 8-5, office-type job. i had an internship in a web design studio back in 2005. i wish it could've turned into a full time gig.

I just had to order a toolbox at work because all my cutting tools were "borrowed" from the production room.

So now I have to keep my exacto knives, my case cutter, my scissors and wire cutters in a box by my desk that I will have to schlep back and forth when I do mockups

i got it filled. haven't taken one yet as i'm still numb, though. but i can tell you...at the first sing of any pain, i'll be taking one. as i said in another post, i can handle most pain, but tooth/mouth pain is where i draw the line. and i will seek any pain med to get it to stop.

eta: there are crews working on our street, again. this time it's the city. basically, they're fixing what the county screwed up. and according to what the guys said, the county REALLY screwed things up. and they said this isn't the first time they've had to do things like this (go back and fix what the county did).
