Getting ready for work. Last day of the weekend, thankfully. Debating on going in for overtime this week but I'll likely pass on it. Think the girlfriend has me sold on finally moving out of New York. We both have agreed we aren't too happy here.

I just got off the phone with my Supervisor’s, Supervisor’s cross-shift and OT is a go. He sounded appreciative again that I’m coming up.
Thing that sucks is when I go back early, I drive truck. But the supervisor that I spoke with gave me a heads up that they may put me on a Drill. I prefer Truck for OT. Drilling can be intense at times and I prefer to not have extra time doing that, lol.

ot is ot, Scarrier. but i get where you're coming from. sometimes you just want an easy day to cruise through at work.

next week and the week after are 32 + 8 for us, where i work. we're scheduled to work 32 hours + get 8 hours of holiday pay. so we have an extra day off; 2 standard days + the holiday (that we'll get paid for). they're doing it for both christmas and new year's day.
for thanksgiving, we had to work a 40 + 8; meaning thanksgiving was 1 of our 2 days off. and we still got holiday pay for it, too. but being in retail that week is busier than the next 2 coming up. but hey, i'll take that extra day off.

I like hearing about companies that do right by their employees.
I’ve worked for both, the ones that treated us like gold and also the ones that stole hours from us.
I didn’t stay long with a company that didn’t treat us well. Back in those days there was plenty of options, for guys like me, unlike now.

You don't like online banking?
I think it's pretty slick. I pay all my bills that way.

I lack motivation and just do things that I am most comfortable in. I pay all of my credit cards and utility bills over the phone as long as there is no additional fee.

Someday, I will give online banking a try.

I understand. It took me a bit to get used to it, now it's essential.

I don't lack motivation in things, but procrastination fn kills me at times. I tell myself, never again, but go right back to doing that.
For example, I should be on The Road right now but I'm finishing packing only now.

Just put the kid to bed, now I'm drinking some wine and watching some Christmas movies on Netflix with my Love. Looks like her folks are coming in on Thursday for Christmas and she's flying back out to Denver early Saturday morning. The kid's on Christmas break as of Friday and will likely want to spend it with her mom up north so guess I'll be spending another holiday alone.

Cant you guys just set up auto payments (direct debits here in the UK).
That way, payments just go automatically at the agreed monthly rate
