Psyching myself up for work today after less than 3hrs of sleep and virtually no coffee. Raced down here to KY from NY so I could spend some quality time with my GF only to find out she was spending the week with her family. Really can't wait til we find a place I hope things get better.

Watching the final season of Younger on Hulu and working on that 25-30 minute Child Abuse 3 presentation that's due today. Just finished slide 13, going to try to get to at least 20 slides before I go volunteer and lift weights. Should be able to finish in plenty of time before tonight's deadline, it's coming up with 5 multiple choice questions that may be used on the final exam that's going to be a little difficult. I always suck at writing exam questions, just one of a litany of reasons I should never be an instructor that has to write examinations for students lol.

Just did a trial run on the probable time for my presentation and it's about 30 seconds per slide. So to get it to the 25-30 minute range, I probably need to quadruple the number of slides or at the very least, pause a bit more between sentences. Doubt the professor or the TA want a 52 slide presentation to go through.

Anyway...I hope the schedule is up today at my other job because I have a rare Saturday off tomorrow.

I worked Sunday-Thursday this week so for me this Friday means a morning volunteering session, a touch of shopping, working out and a decent amount of school work. Want to try to get as much done as I can before I leave for the daycare because there's still a lot I need to get done this week and I don't want to be rushing this evening or tomorrow on Saturday.

Watching the lecture for Child Abuse 2 for this week, I really dislike that professor. She doesn't seem able to look beyond what she wants to what's best for the student and she's probably the worst professor I've ever had. I mean she's even saying there's 6 weeks left so we're going to have 6 more quizzes but the term ends in 4 weeks and that's just one example of a mistake she's made. She also frequently lies and takes digs at students because she doesn't like what they have to say. All of this is going to be put in my personal review of her at the end of the term because she is absolutely horrible and I want the department head to know that.

The GF is already talking about dinner, she wants fried chicken but can't decide between KFC or Bojangles. Seems like a rite of passage to have KFC since we're in Kentucky plus it's right down the street instead of having to go across town but whatever...

Marine iguanas are a protected species in Galapagos Islands. We did humanely shoot (one-shot kills) several goats, with permission from the authorities, because they were introduced by man and being an invasive species which caused a lot of harm to the islands….at least back then, don’t know about now. After having done our part in terms of Galapagos environmental conservation, we had them for dinner a couple evenings on the boat. The goat meat was tough to chew, needed a lot of beer to wash it down.

Good thing is we didn't do any decompression dives the next day.
