Getting ready to check out of our hotel and find something to do for the rest of the day before it's time to pick up my girlfriend from work and head home for work tomorrow. Thank you, sir! Long story long, in my living room/secondary system, I have an OLD Denon 3802 receiver (circa 2002, the first line of 6.1 Denon receivers able to process DD EX/DTS-ES) powered by three Marantz monoblocks in a 3.2 system. It legit sounds great to this very day, but I feel as though I'm not eking out the full potential of my newish SVS Ultra towers, so I've been itching to either (1) replace it with a new receiver to run the same way OR (2) pick up the Marantz 7706 for the basement/main system and move my old Integra DTC 9.8 pre/pro to the living room. I stumbled across the Tone Winner pre/pro and decided what the hell and picked one up to replace the Denon.

Checking out MCAS (Marine Corp Air Station) Iwakuni on Google maps and kind of wishing I could go back to my time in Japan. I lived on base and didn't venture out too often but I do wish I could go back and get out more. Went to Hiroshima a couple times and that was cool. Went to Fukuoka once. Used to go out with this car club and kick it with them. But I should have done a lot more. Did see several movies while I was there as the theater on base was free. You just had to pay for the concessions.

Sounds like a plan. Gotta give those ultra towers some love. They're gonna get feisty.

I was reading about this Tonewinner processor maybe a week ago, give or take. Before that I was pretty unfamiliar with the brand. Still not real familiar with it. Kinda reminds me of an Intergra (looks wise). So the million dollar question(s); you have it all hooked up? How does it sound?
