getting my day starting rather on the late side, having a pizza lunch with friends - it's raining cats and dogs.

I’m starving.
Today is steak day but sometimes we get prime rib instead.
Because their version of steak differs from mine dramatically, I’m hoping that prime rib is on the menu.

relaxing got here ok and it has been raining off and on but I was really happy when it wasn't raining in some of the parts that are annoying to drive. tomorrow is a big day so I better catch some ZZZs.

Damn I'm working for the wrong company, the most we get is overcooked hotdogs or undercooked hamburgers. I remember one employee appreciation day we got a catered BBQ, pulled pork,brisket and the fixings and I swear they used the lowest bidder on the caterer, never had such dry ill-tasted BBQ before. I'd take prime rib or even "cheap" steak over that any day.

OT: Just woke up from a 5hr nap after work, kicking myself now because I'm sure I'll be up all night now. Watching some YouTube and finishing my dinner of leftovers while the girlfriend's playing Ghostbusters The Video Game on the PS4 in the living room.

Enjoying my last normal day off before I switch to overnights at work starting tomorrow. Until the first week or so of January, I'll be working 8PM - 5AM. Never worked overnights before, but I'm more of a night owl anyway, and it'll be nice to avoid the big holiday crowds shopping during the day. Planning to get at least a few more horror movies in this evening for my Halloween movie binge.

Browsing some clothes on Macy's website during a break at work. They've got a 30% friends and family promo that I'm trying to take advantage. Already got two jackets at the mall the other day and what turned into checking out one more jacket has turned into let's see how much money I can blow on clothes I'll rarely wear

Going to bed, rare Sunday shift at work tomorrow and then a 1 hour recovery run before watching the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Watching some YouTube and heading to bed for work tomorrow. Canceled my gym membership tonight, I went a whopping 3x and decided it wasn't for me right now, for starters the gym was all the way across town and just trying to get into the routine of driving over there daily just wasn't happening. I might re-join later but for now I'm just going to push myself to get back on a regular free/outdoor cardio routine and improve my diet...my girlfriend's been pushing me to quit drinking and start running with her when she's home, since as you know she's been working 6hrs away since July.

Debating on working OT this week, could use the extra money but on the other hand I really want to get in at least one fall camping trip before DST, and thinking a backcountry trip to the Smokies may be calling my name this week.
