I just finished properly setting up the surround and Atmos speakers in our bedroom.
I only had the surrounds on stands, but now they're wall mounted and at a better height. I didn't have the Atmos speakers mounted since we'd moved and after using Man of Steel for a demo, am pretty fricken happy!
I'll paint some wire covers, let 'em dry overnight then put them up tomorrow and that should be it.

I'm now watching Predators/Oilers that I recorded earlier.

Right now, I'm getting ready to call it a night. Earlier today, a buddy came down to play some tennis. I haven't seen him since 2018 or 2019. We met up and hit one park and the courts were full, hit a second park and the courts were being used for pickleball. We decided to try the courts at San Jose State. The courts were open and no one else was hitting so we had them all to ourselves. And I swear it was just a coincidence that the girls beach volleyball team just happened to be practicing not far from us

Snowing now and I am closely monitoring that Nor'easter that's supposed to hit NYC and the surrounding areas this weekend.

I made the drive out to CT to drop off my receiver for service. I have HDMI board failure. The dude was a bit strange and the place was stacked to the ceiling with units and parts. He had no idea who I was even though we corresponded throughout the week and I emailed him that morning.

He said due to supply chain issues it could be a while before I get it back. I'll probably be without my 7.1 setup for a while. My guess is I won't have it back until the summer.

You've got more patience than I do. I wouldn't be able to wait that long and not get a loaner or buy another one, possibly an upgrade.

OT, I am watching the press conference on The Oilers newest addition, Evander Kane. I won't get into his off ice shit, but he's a great addition and what we need.

I hope I am wrong. The unit is almost 3 years old but it's the RZ series from Onkyo and they're quite pricey. I got mine on sale, but I guess it's outdated now since it only does 7 channels.

Fingers crossed that the warranty takes care of everything including return shipping.

Just surfing a bit before bed. I watched Stillwater (Damon) for the first time tonight and thought it was pretty good. It's inspired me to briefly skim Amanda Knox's wiki page and it really makes me want to go back to Europe. Most of the film takes place in Marseilles, France and the scenery

Defeated the first boss in Sekiro. I was wracking my brain trying to figure him out. He was such a pain in the ass. Enjoying my accomplishment.

worked half day then spent a few hours at the hospital with my fiancee, her symptoms worstened and she was starting to have difficult breathing so her cousin drove her to the ER...they admitted her immediately and have her on a ventilator. Now I'm back at the apartment to take a nap but first, an ice cold beer and checking out the Bengals-Chiefs game.

Took an early shower.

Picked the last batch of tangerines about 2 dozen worth. There are a few strays, but are too difficult to reach. Also, picked about 4 dozen rambutans and disposed of the tree branches.

Really tired and just watching football.

Felt sleepy around 10pm but now I'm wide awake (it's just after 1AM), needless to say my sleep pattern is fudged. Watching a couple YouTube subs and researching storage solutions for my truck. Weather's supposed to break 60° later today so I think it'll be a good day to clean the truck inside and out. Really need to figure out a better way to organize my tools and outdoor stuff than using plastic totes both for practicality and security, I'm not a fan of a truck toolbox in a short bed as I think they take up more space than they should plus I like having a tonneau cover to keep things out of plain sight. I've been playing with the idea of a custom build a low-profile foot locker-style box back there. Been itching to get back on the road and have adventures again and the sooner I can conquer the mess of everything just thrown on my back seat the sooner I can go and be able to sleep in it again if it's too cold to sleep in a tent.
