Making some BBQ wings and watching some YouTube. One more day before my vacation begins! So looking forward to it, my first in over 5yrs. Other than a day or two of helping my Ex pack a moving truck and clean up my house that they're living in its going to be 10 days of complete relaxation.

The Crew that came in yesterday is short of Operators and I’m needing to do OT.

I’m honestly wondering if I need a change of scenery Scarr. Unfortunately my son is near, and while I haven’t seen him in 2 years I still hold out hope and need to provide for him. Fingers crossed, I can get back on my own if we can’t fix this situation. But right now I’m tired of doing all of the heavy lifting.

Man I wish I could be of some support, I seriously thought the same thing last year when I decided to give up everything/left family&friends and move 1000 miles from my hometown. Sadly the whole experience started out as one nightmare after the next, I'm starting to get accustomed to this area but I still don't know many people here outside of work and my in-laws. I've basically become a homebody when I'm not out solo hiking or camping. The latter helps with mental clarity. This is a small town so everyone is more or less related to one another, which doesn't help matters it always seems like I'm stared down as an outsider (definitely true but these people make it too fricken obvious that I'm not wanted here--I'm sure the local government doesn't mind my tax dollars though). And if that's not enough my wife is a traveling nurse so she's only here maybe 2-3 months out of the year.

Oh well, I go on my first vacation in 5 years tomorrow. It'll be 10 days jam packed with chores as I'm helping my Ex and daughter move and getting my NY house ready to list on AirB&B but I'm looking forward to being back in my hometown again and hopefully have some time to reflect on this past year and what I want for my future. At the moment I'm thinking another abrupt move to another state is in order, maybe follow my Ex and daughter out to the West Coast, I'm sure my Ex will appreciate that lol.

I know you've mentioned your son getting on your nerves in the past but at least he's in your life, don't take that for granted. I've been fighting for custody of my daughter for years, and have lost each and every one of them. We text occasionally but it took her being hospitalized for 6 months last year just to see her again. I never left her side, I'm sure I pissed off a lot of hospital workers by not abiding by their no-visitor past 7pm rule.

AH, MAN! You guys are making me jealous and somewhat sad. I have no one in this biggish city. Except for my family and a friend or two. The thing is I almost never see my family, much anyway, and I rarely see my few friends. One friend I may see three times a year. So, the people that are constantly in my life are on shiny discs or black lacquer that come out through the television and/or speakers. So usually all I see when I am not at work is the same 4 walls. It's he-- on earth. There is a friend, I guess you can call her that, whom I see on a weekly basis for movie night. Without that, I would be dead or more insane than I already am.

And it's not that I don't try to do more and have more friends, but the former usually ends up costing me more money that I cannot afford right now to be spending. And the latter is dang near impossible since no one wants anything to do with me. I get the impression that they would rather rub all over lepers than even come close to me. At least any good, sane ones. I do get all the crazies after me. I'm ready to scream. Take this week/weekend, for example. I have been dog sitting since May 20th for my oldest sister. It has been supremely hard this go around.

My oldest sister doesn't do physical media and prefers streaming. I don't do streaming if I can help it. She does have a Blu-ray player so I can use that. However, the movies I brought over are not enduring me. And on top of that, now her Blu-ray player is acting up and won't play anything other than CDs and DVDs. Not great. That started last night. Now, I am screwed. Today is my last for dog sitting and I have nothing to do really here. I could go swimming, but I don't have any trunks with me. We'll see about that though. And "special interests" have taken over and I am not doing what I should be. I think I may watch the new Chip and Dales and go swimming. Thanks for reading. I am sorry to drag the thread down. Listening to the Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness while eating a hot frozen meal. Finished up the Bootleg cut of Almost Famous on 4K and did some recording. I would've done, but I got super hungry. It's not as though I don't eat. Problem is I overeat even when I am not trying to.

Man, I don't know your situation. However, if you love this girl and think she is the one, go for it and don't let her pass by. I did and now my fiance is dead with a bullet to their heart by their own doing. I only bring it up to say that I regret not doing more. And I regret it every day. Don't make my mistake.
