I just woke up about a half hour ago, so I'm having my first cup of coffee now. Probably my one and only cup today since its already 90 -freaking degrees outside. My Love said it was 80 at 4am when she was on her morning run. I'm very hesitant on turning the A/C in this oppressive heat but on the other hand I like being comfortable. Debating on going to the Lake down in Tennessee this week, finding a campsite nearby that doesn't cost an arm & a leg is usually a pain in the arse since usually the good sites are taken from June to August. Also just checked my instagram feed and Power Tour 2022 is this week starting in Memphis, with a stop at the Nashville motor speedway. Stoked that it'll be so close, but not sure if I'm going to attend as a spectator especially in this heat. I guess before I decide anything I need to clean out the truck and check the fluids, since I drove it 2000 miles in the last two week. My key fob range doesn't seem to be working too great now, I'm hoping its just the battery but I tried my back up and it started doing the same thing. Thinking maybe its an issue with other cars nearby throwing the frequency off

Man, you are talking about my stomping grounds. Have you tried Cleveland, TN? They may not be filled up at this time. I've been there a couple of times at this time of the year and it wasn't hard getting in.

I have not. But to be completely honest, I often camp by myself so I tend to avoid public campgrounds(I look for legal spots to pitch a tent on BLM land/state/national forests mostly).

OT: Just took a cool shower after working outside for a bit, drinking an ice cold beer and thinking about installing a couple new (to me) games I bought for the PS4 recently.

The places in Cleveland aren't really public per se. The public can use them, but they are state parks in some ways and you have to pay to get in. They're really not bad.

Drinking another ice cold beer, listening to a YouTube video and planning a 3 hr road trip to Nashville tomorrow for day 2 of Hot Rod Power Tour 2022, I mentioned possibly going to my brother and he told me to take lots of pictures so guess I should put a bigger SD card in my phone or delete some old pictures or something.

I'm contemplating buying an external hard drive today to archive some things that are not really life changing. Does this really need to be done today?

I also have to wait now because I paid way too much money for the Morbius steelbook on ebay and now I can't go get a copy at BestBuy

Oh well....Happy BestBuy Daaaaaaaaaaaay!

EDIT: Brooooooooo!!!! They have 3 copies at the Vauxhall BestBuy!!!! AND...the ebay guy offers returns with free return shipping!!! I'm gonna offer him a restocking fee because this is on me. Woo Hoo!!! [performs nude backflip off roof]. [sticks landing]

Well I'll tell ya what I'm NOT doing right now, I'm not on my way to Nashville Superspeedway for day 2 of Hot Rod Power Tour 2022. My wife guilt tripped me into staying home with her instead.

I hear that. I went out to the truck for maybe 10 min and ended up drenched in sweat. Oddly enough it didn't feel as hot as it did yesterday.

That's alright I've got plenty to keep me busy inside our air-conditioned apartment. Still trying to pare down everything we own so when we finally move out of here (hopeful that'll be next spring) we can do it in one trip preferably without renting a moving truck.

ot: fixing some lunch. Grilled cheese sammiches and some Ramen.

I have to go out in it and catch a bus to get home. I'll have to wait about 10 minutes or so to pick up the bus. Then I'll have to head downtown, get off the bus, cross the street, and wait another 10 minutes for my connecting bus. All the while probably doing this with my cans on my head cause I really want to listen to some music. I am truly a glutton for punishment.

Happy Belated Birthday 🥳 I’m sitting here playing some Jedi Fallen Order before bed. I’m a little wound up from work. My co-assistant manager has been a flake and been a no call/show the past few days. My store manager just got promoted and hopefully enjoys their days off. They’ve earned them, but being short handed blows. Hopefully the new hires catch on quick and fit into our team. Because we need some hard hitters that can keep up with production on the floor. Other than that, life is good. I had a pretty good talk with my girl. Fingers crossed, it sticks. Have a great week y’all.
