Waiting on my Mr Coffee Auto-Drip to finish brewing my coffee since somehow i managed to screw up my first cup in the Aeropress this morning. Watching a couple Youtube tutorials on the subject now, seems like I did everything right, so how come I ended up with like 2oz of ridiculously strong coffee? Looks like it's gonna take some trial and error, whatever it is it'll be awhile before I fully commit and retire my Mr Coffee auto drip.

That was my old shift. It wasn't bad because I could sleep in most days but the hour commute didn't get me back until after midnight.

Lots of drama this 4th of July extended weekend for me so just taking it easy today and watching some Seinfeld. At least it's not raining.

I think between a much shorter commute and not having a forced 30 minute lunch will save me about an hour most M-F work weeks, I'll definitely take that. Plus the severe wear and tear on my car (plus gas cost) of 40 mile round trip will be gone as well, all of which definitely made it worth it to switch from a $12.62 an hour job to a $12.50 an hour job. That's not even taking into account the $800 signing bonus coming in about 90 days.

Working on this six pack of some cheap beer and listening to some iHeart Radio. I was supposed to go pick up my daughter for the summer this week but she wanted to go to a summer camp with her friends up in NY instead so that blew my summer plans entirely.

Had breakfast/lunch at Denny's and afterward, I came up to Barnes & Noble to pick up three Criterions that I had ordered online. Probably going to place an order from Target for The Northman since it's $14.99 and I can place one more order saving 10% for their military discount. Also thinking about getting an accent rug at World Market but I think I don't really need anything else for my apartment.

I had the 4th off so it kinda feels like Monday but it's Tuesday so maybe it is MonsDay.

Drinking a second cuppa coffee and watching some YouTube. Trying to make plans for today, maybe a movie or three and some PS4. It's freaking hot outside and thunderstorms are expected tonight and tomorrow so that may be a major deciding factor.

My wife’s ex dropped by for a couple of drinks and smokies yesterday. He had some entertaining stories and is a funny dude!
I have a couple of movies that I’d like to watch before heading to work at the end of the week and today seems like a good day to start that.

Wow, you're a bigger man than I am, I could never hang out with my Ex's current boyfriend. He's a tool, and the last time I saw him I was really close to knocking him out and would have if my daughter wasn't present. I never thought he was a good choice as a step father for my daughter, but obviously my opinion doesn't matter on that subject.

Drinking some bourbon and re-reading this certified letter I received from NYS family court today. Apparently my Ex applied to have my parental rights permanently terminated. I never thought she'd do this, I've been fighting for custody for a couple years now but after the last court appearance I pretty much accepted that nothing will change. Of course the phone number they give is out of service, way to go NY! I looked up the county's CPS department online to get a working phone number but by then nobody was in the office so I have to wait until tomorrow morning to call. So aggravating!
