I just got back from a good breakfast with my cousin. The server was hot, pleasant and good at her job.
My cuz always impresses me with his knowledge. We can talk on the same level a lot of the time but he’s crazy smart.
My FurBrat and I had a great walk before breakfast. It was at a HUGE park near where I used to live. We had a blast!

I’m gonna chill a bit, hopefully nap, then figure out the rest of my day.

Just got home a couple/few hours later that I had planned. Going to watch Moonfall and then surf a bit. Off tomorrow at the post office but working my other job so while it's not a complete day off, I do get to sleep in a bit. Hopefully I'll wake up early enough to do some laundry before I go in.

Watching some YouTube when I should be sleeping for work tomorrow. Oh well. Had a bit of a heated argument with my girlfriend/fiancee earlier today, I know she's just stressed over some things going on right now but that doesn't give her the right to treat me like sh*t. Her step father passed away earlier this week, he had no life insurance, no will or savings and no next of kin other than my girlfriend and his son who hasn't been seen/heard from in months. It bothers me how we've been together for ongoing 7yrs, plenty of disagreements/arguments and this one fight has me deeply concerned about our future.

Just set up my turntable. First time getting into vinyl. Not that I need a new physical media hobby...

Have a vintage player but wanted a modern one that I could hook directly into my receiver. It is not as loud as I was anticipating haha. Had to crank my receiver to 70 to get any real sound. According to the support page...it's normal. I guess growing up with CD/SACD and DTS and now Atmos...I was a little spoiled. Vinyl is analog after all!

Also clearing panel noise on my OLED which takes roughly an hour.

Drowning my sorrows in some ice cold Oktoberfest beers. My girlfriend of 7+ years decided today we needed to take some time apart. I guess the month long time away when she was working away from home the last year wasn't enough for her. Oh well, this may be for the best, I just have to decide what I'm doing or better yet where I'm going to end up next since I have no family or really friends here

Worked a couple hours in the yard and took a nice, cold shower. There’s a Nestle ice cream cone that I am looking forward to eating in a bit. Damn tired.

Drinking some really strong lemonade while listening to early Syd Barrett Pink Floyd. Going to go start the new Stephen King novel in a bit.

MONDAY:

I got in early today because I have to do the studio leg of the Dead collaboration apparel we are doing and other than the fact that Gerry Garcia played Mesa/ Boogie amps (sometimes) I really have no connection and nothing in common with this band.

I was obsessing on Friday night during SmackDown and I pulled out my Road King and took some really cool pictures of the tubes glowing in the back but I'm not even sure if they are going to work in the background.

Honestly...it's a photoshoot that SHOULD take place in an LSD factory but I have to keep it a family show.

If anybody out there loves The Grateful Dead, could you please tell me why and what connects you with the band, the music and other fans?

Drinking some delicious Apple Pie flavored coffee and watching some YouTube while I make a to-do list for the week ahead. Looks like it'll be a busy one.

Finished up watching some of the Queen Elizabeth events today in Scotland. Mail just came and I got my Temple of Doom 4K steelbook. I was shocked to see Amazon ship it in a box so it arrived in excellent shape!

I’m gonna go install that light that I posted about elsewhere, then I’ll bbq some some steaks. This will be my last good meal for a couple of weeks.

I'm officially at the point where I check bluray.com before I check my e-mail in the morning.

It's Tuesday, think I'm going to run some errands today after my morning coffee. I'm hoping to come up with a decent storage solution for my truck so it no longer looks like I just throw stuff in it. I've also decided to take an extreme minimalist approach on my apartment now that I'm single again. Speaking of which, my ex-fiancee text me last night telling me how sorry she was and that we could still be friends...yup that's something every guy wants to hear after being dumped right?

Been working on cleaning up the basement. Had some water get in after a big rainfall and it never properly dried correctly. Most of the stuff is not salvageable which sucks. Had a lot of things in boxes (should've put them in big plastic bins) and moisture is not kind. Loaded up 2 more large contractor bags for the trash today and been doing a lot of burning.

It's been one of those days so far. I am just lounging around the house waiting on amazon to deliver a package. They keep pushing the delivery window further and further out.
