Trying to decide what to do on my one day off of the week. My day off usually revolves around where I'm going to eat. It won't be an eventful day. Most of my days aren't eventful at all. I did get a new mountain bike recently and the plan was going to be to take the bus up to Palo Alto and park my bike (securely of course

) and then continue on a different bus up to my favorite spot for clam chowder. Then I'd come back, grab the bike and take a nice ride around Stanford. But today's weather is not the best currently so my plans might have to adapt. Hmmm....

Also watching the Kentucky Derby. NBC has really turned this into the Olympics, one-day edition, complete with all of the backstories and controversies that can be broadcast for 8 hours.

I think NBC and their Kentucky Derby coverage is like Super Bowl Sunday. I also feel like the Kentucky Derby is the official start to spring/summer time.

It is the biggest day of the year here, Businesses, Organizations, etc, etc,
work all year for this day..
And that's not even counting the Equestrian side of things

Sorry Dub I haven't the foggiest idea

I never went to Churchill Downs on Derby Day, it's not my cup of Tea,
the best seats are in front of my TV Set for all the Derby Events

If you want good seats, bring money, lots of it. They're $600 to $2,500

If you just want general admission unrestricted view seats, I'm not sure if this link is accurate but it said less than $100 on the resale market - that's assuming you can find them at that price, I would imagine those sell faster than lightning closer to the day of the Derby. And you probably have to get there before dawn and go with another person to save your space if you need to go to the bathroom at some point.

Still buzzing from last night's 11:45 PM Hozier pre-Shaky Knees Festival pop-up show at a small intimate venue. I've been to hundreds of shows and that one stood out as one of the best for pure musicianship. Every one of his eight supporting band members played multiple instruments and sang backing vocals.

Coffee and getting ready for my ex-father-in-law's funeral. Think I'm going to go ahead and check out of this hotel room, I'm more than likely going to head home after the service but in case I decide to stay for the reception or if my daughter wants me to stay one more night I can just get another room.

I am doing on online safety course for my new job.
The slides load slow and I don't know if it's my laptop or the site. Been at it for over 2.5 hours now and have no idea how much longer.
It's for a good cause, so I'll continue to endure.
