So sorry to hear this. I dealt with it over the summer and I'm still not ok. I chose to schedule at-home euthanasia vs. taking the dog to the vet. The vet misdiagnosed my dog so I was already at my wits end with them.

Ran a few errands late this afternoon including washing my car and getting my glasses adjusted. Hit Sam's Club and got some tissues, cooking oil and found dragonfruit on sale!

Also hit Little Caesars and grabbed some wonton soup from a local Chinese place but my goodness their prices keep going up. Over $5 for soup is insane. The place at the other end of town is a buck less.

Just fired off a lovely email to my good friends over at Kino requesting a few disc replacements. Several of the discs look as if a cat played with it. Just another day in the life of a physical media collector.

Thanks for the advice. The charge came off my account. I think it was just a double charge that got caught and removed. I will keep that in mind, though, if I do have any fraud again.

Watching Elvis: That’s The Way It Is, a documentary about the Las Vegas debut of the white suit era, with horns and backup singers, etc. I personally didn’t realize just how much I dislike this part of Elvis’ history. It’s just so far removed from the Elvis stuff that I do like (rockabilly). I wish he’d explored more guitar oriented material. This Vegas business has just about 0% of the punk Elvis, which is a shame.

Solid flick with a great cast. I remember watching the trailer for it in 3D and it looked sick.

I'm a big slipcover guy so I was really happy to get the 4K with slipcover but again, I think it's tossed. I do have an FAC edition but I doubt that I'll ever open it.

I believe Everest was one of the first 4K releases from Universal with those neat curved slips.

I haven't asked my dad again about the stuff that I had at his place but I'm pretty sure it's gone. I have stuff in a spare bedroom, mostly movies, that are fine but I had a lot of stuff outside on his back patio that had been there since 2020. Sometime, during the last few years, he built a cover for the area and I'm not sure what he did with all of my stuff, but I don't think he kept it.
