My mom had knee surgery yesterday, so I'm keeping her company. The recovery will be a long one.

At the Spirit bike dealer and there is a guy all adventure kitted out like he just got in from Alaska or Patagonia and he’s speaking French and he sounds pretty awesome. Like I can imagine him in the movies.

She’s getting close to 80. It was bone on bone. Took the cortisone shots & then the gel so the surgery was the next thing. Dr said it went as good as these things go. Follow up in a very long 3 weeks.

Thanks for your kinds words. The prep was hellish (I was in the bathroom all day and night) but the actual procedure was relatively quick and painless. They found one polyp and removed it, so nothing serious luckily. Felt pretty groggy the rest of the day from the anesthesia and my stomach is still iffy but I'm taking it easy while I recover. The worst part is not being able to eat for almost 48 hours but I'm just glad it's over with.

By the way, I'm getting the upgrade itch and I'm considering an AV10 soon as my current pre-pro is lacking some features that I want. My son will be graduating college in May so I'll be free of the tuition, which is basically another mortgage. First thing I'm buying is a new toy, and a new processor is high on the list... or it could be a new truck lol.

Dude, I got a sophomore in college and another sophomore in high school.....f*ck me. So, as soon as one is done with college, the other goes to college....that will be 8 straight years (at a minimum).

Damn, I know how you feel man. My boys are 3 years apart. But thankfully there was only a year of overlap, and that I'm on the tail-end of the other mortgage tuition. My oldest graduated college in 2022.

Got hit as well. Around 1” of snow and then the ice. Good excuse to stay home today. I got my copy of No Country for Old Men yesterday so I’ll be watching that this evening.
