Oh, how I wish I would have jumped on some of that stock when it went public back in the day.....although my godparents passed away recently, and an old family story is that they owned some original microsoft stock......wonder what happened to it and if that was even true?

Yeah, that's my best chance. At least with stain you can get close and multiple coats can always get you close as well.

I'm never one to pay/download DLC. I always just get the physical game and stick to that. But the concept of adding NBA players to a wrestling game has me intrigued.

Did my Costco run and back home now relaxing. I have a package to mail to my parents and the nearest post office is less than a mile. An easy walk down and back but I'm not all comfortable and settled but I am lacking a little motivation to get off my ass and go down there

I'm listening to a song that no one in general forum will have heard before. Not a lot of BR.com people listening to hip hop me thinks. And that's okay. But I'm going to post it anyway cuz it's Luda and Luda is nice.

If you spot a blue 240SX in that scene, it's his.

Edit: Found his car

That is freaking awesome!

Both Civiclx and myself were big into the import scene back in the day. I def miss those days and being in a club along with getting wayyy too drunk.

You and civic had it best living on the West Coast during that time.

Um... uhh... except I was into V8 sport and muscle cars (still kind of am). I used to have a project 97 Mustang GT that I was in process of adding upgrades, and eventually make a track car. I was about to drop a blower in it, but then I got married... you know how the rest goes . I used to think of myself as Dom and my cousin was Brian lol.

Edit: I used to have a 88 Toyota Supra TT and thought it was the schidt, until one day I got smoked by a 69 Camaro, naturally aspirated, just running fatty's in the back and race fuel. Changed my mind about imports after that. And for the record, I have nothing against imports. These days I drive a Toyota Tundra, and just got my wife a Nissan Armada last December.

FRIDAY:

It's Friiiiiiiidaaaaaaaaay Pumpkiiiiiiiin!!!!

So far....WWE 2k25 is fun and smooth. I have no doubt they will update it and ruin it.

For now...I'm going to enjoy, even without The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase, I think I can make it work with 340 something wrestlers!

Have a great weekend everybody!

That's crazy that that is your cousin. I mean the fact that he was in the movie and then he happens to be in the gif that sf posted

I mentioned this in the Honda/Acura thread but the general manager of the body shop in LA that worked on my car was in the film as well. He had a chameleon Accord wagon and you briefly see him bouncing it when Paul first pulls up to the races in the first film. The guy is a big bald guy that nods at Bryan as he walks by.

Here's a video of him bouncing it at the body shop that he used to work at. There were a few shops in SoCal that were BIG in the scene. His shop, 20/20 in City of Industry did a lot of the cars on the covers of the early Import Tuners.

But you said domestic so meh to you

For sure! What a coincidence. I tripped out when I saw the gif SF posted.

That's cool! I remember a bouncing car in the movies. I'll have to pop in the first movie again and check it out.

I never actually said "domestic". But I did also say I had a Supra and we also now drive imports. For the record though, I never saw the tail lights of an import after that Supra incident, apart from pulling up behind one.

In other import news, I used to work with a guy named Ed Bergenholtz back in the late 90s. He was on a mission to build a 10 second import. He used a stripped down CRX. Can't remember what all he did to it apart from stripping the firewall and passenger seat, but about $100k later he got it done. It was featured in some mags back in the day. Here's a write up that I found on Motor Trend's website, has a list of mods.

Eventually I heard he got below 10 seconds and was the first to do it (in an import), but that was after he and I left the company. Link here.

I hadn't seen the pic of your cousin's car before now. Wow, it was nice! To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what Nissan it is but I'm pretty sure those are the S15 headlights. That's a great color too

The guy Ed that you used to work with, his name sounds familiar and even though I wasn't much into racing/street racing, I think I've heard of him. I can't imagine I was so into the scene and wouldn't have heard of him. I used to love going to the car shows in SoCal when I was stationed in Yuma. Yuma was about 3 hours from San Diego and I'm just guessing it was like 4 hours from L.A. One of the best shows I can remember attending was when I was home on leave from being stationed in Japan. We hit a Hot Import Daze in Irvine and saw a lot of nice cars. I don't know if it was that same leave or a different time (came home twice while I was stationed in Iwakuni) but a friend and I, Stephen King, went to an Import Model Expo in Long Beach. No cars, no products, no spiky-haired Asian dudes with glowsticks...just import models, lots of import models

Those were the days

And for what I'm doing. Today is another no-spend day (2nd of the week). Very proud of myself, especially considering I only have a swig or two of soda in my whole apartment. If I did spend any money tonight, I could see myself trying to hit a 7-11 for a Big Gulp before work. I think I'll be okay though and won't have to resort to such drastic measures. I just had some leftovers that my lady (friend) brought to work for me. She's been giving me a lot of food to take home. Speaking of food, she's currently observing Ramadan so that means no food during the daytime and no...

Now I think it's time for some YouTube. Probably going to watch some IRA stuff or maybe I'll choose an entirely different subject. We'll find out!
