Shady's back, tell a friend

(sidenote: not a big fan of remastered music videos but Eminem's are better remasters than a lot of others.)

Just finished watching Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes. I started watching it on Monday night and now it's been watched. I think it was my third or fourth time watching it. There's a part that I thought was in the trailer that I think of, not often, but a good bit. There's a scene where Mark Strong says, with his awesome voice, "you must widen your gaze Mr. Holmes" but the way he delivers it in the movie is different than how it sounds in my head. Again, I think it was a line heard in the trailer and it's possible it was just a different take that they didn't use. Anyway, Mark does have a great voice. I think the first time I saw him was in Ridley's Body Of Lies.

I went out for my second ride today. I dropped my helmet and got a little chip on it which surprisingly didn't drive me too crazy. I mean it did but I got over it...kind of lol I had it set on the seat while I took off my Adidas pullover. It was pretty warm with the weather and my riding jacket. I so often wear full-zips today but this one had to be taken off with the helmet removed. I should have set the helmet facing a different direction. Oh well.

I ended the day at Cycle Gear checking out their Bike Night. It was pretty cool to see so many enthusiasts in one spot. When I first got there, I saw a guy who was leaving with his helmet attached to his body or backpack or something. All I know is that it wasn't on his head. I'm not his mother and it's none of my business but they are required here in California. But let's talk biker chicks I feel like female bikers is something that most guys would dig but I don't know. I mean I'll see videos on YouTube or reels on FB and they might be hot, dressed sexy (not safely) and it's kind of whatever I guess.

But...okay like I love tennis. So I might see a girl who I might not be real attracted to but because she's a tennis player, I could be feelin' her. There were a few biker girls tonight but there were two in particular. One might have been Latina or something else. She was dark and she kind of had an awkward looking face but seeing her on the bike and her female friend next to her, I kind of got hot and badass vibes from them lol I think it was after I got home that I was thinking about her and she kind of reminded me of a dark-skinned Anya Taylor Joy. I don't think anyone else would have thought that and I didn't think it when I first saw her, but yeah, I feel like her face was similar.

Anyway, sorry for the long post. I'm not really actually Sherlock Holmes is over. Just Cause 3 has shut off because I died and now it's time to surf a bit before i call it a night.

Just be aware....whenever you drop a helmet, it is possible to undermine the integrity of the helmet, making it less effective to protect your noggin' if if was ever needed to protect you.

Biker chicks are OK, but most have a "but her, AKA butter" face.

I have heard that about the helmets and did consider that but I think this one is going to be okay. Of course my insurance does cover such things so maybe...

These chicks were on naked bikes and I think they had proper gear on so they weren't showing skin or cleavage or anything like that. It was just a cool vibe I think. Like the quarterback, the good dancer, the DJ, the biker chick...

If I could get a cruiser (Indian) and a naked bike too, I'd dig that. Maybe even an adventure bike. But I don't know yet. Talking about having multiple bikes and I don't even know how much use the one that I have will actually get. I think for right now, I'll plan on riding one day a week on one of my days off. I'm sure that number will jump up eventually. I need to find me a nice big lot to practice in as well. I really want to get used to the size and weight of the bike and learn how to manipulate it.

And it being 5:52am there and 2:52am here, I'm thinking that you are just getting up and I'm getting close to retiring for the night. Amirite?

You have a crazy schedule IMO.....I got up to start my day at 4AM...get my son up at 5:30AM and to school, then to the gym at 7AM for me.

Here is a pic of me on my bike back in 2005:

Great pic. Didn't know that you had tattoos. When is the last time you owned a bike?

I have Monday and Tuesday nights off. I don't normally stay up this late. There are times when I might go to sleep as early as 8pm when I'm off the next day. My work schedule is 10pm to 6:30am and I'm having a hard time finding a good, consistent sleep schedule on workdays.

You're in banking right? I forget if you said that you go to an office or if you work from home. Have a good workout

Thanks....sold my bike back in 2014, when my son started playing travel hockey. Had no time to ride it.

I could never work overnight....and I am not surprised you have a problem with a sleeping schedule, as I know I would for sure. I am not a night owl.

Yes, been in banking for over 30 years, in various roles. I am suppose to "show up and work" in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, there is no supervision for me in the office and no one really knows what I do....so it is easy for me to just leave after a couple hours and finish working my day at home.

Had the sleeve since 2005 and other tattoos before that.....I would love to work on the other arm, but I am getting engaged within a month (already have the rings) and now have to spend my money on a nice "little" wedding. However, this is both our 3rd marriage and it will be low key.

And how many bikes did you have in your lifetime? Would the soon to be Mrs. Fors let you get another bike if you wanted one? And I believe I did congratulate you when you shared the news but maybe I only liked the post, so congratulations

I don't have any tattoos and while I've never seriously considered getting any, I have thought about what I might like if I did.

I want to ask what city you work in but not sure if you want to share that info. I know you're in the Northeast but can't remember which state or if you're in a smaller town or near a big city.

And I'm going back to work...I mean I'm starting work exactly 12 hours from now. The weekend went by quickly but before I know it, it will be Sunday night again (Friday for me) and it will be time for another weekend.
Oh yeah, and speaking of the schedule, I think I'd be happier with the 4am to 12:30pm schedule that I used to work but this schedule does have some financial benefits. I also like how I get off early in the morning and if I'm heading out of town, I get ready and then bam, vamonos! As for the sleeping, I just can't seem to go to bed early enough to get 8 hours and even if I did, I don't think I'd be able to stay asleep for 8 hours.

You know, I am usually glad to get back home from a vacation. But then, most of my vacations are trips to Disney. A trip to Disney World/Universal is oftentimes the most exhausting thing a person can do. It's not as though I'm too old for it. It's just taxing after 5 days. Especially the way me and my oldest sister do it. But that may be changing very soon. We are thinking of doing a "Disneyland" style trip every year for Orlando. We would stay at a Universal hotel and do two days at Universal. Then we would do one day at Epcot. With the new park addition to Universal it now necessitates two days there. Adding that to Walt Disney World and their 4 Parks would make it very stressing. Hence, this new idea. Which I like.

A butter face is better than a biscuit butt, which most woman tend to have.

Major, MAJOR night owl here. Love staying up late. I can sleep when I'm dead. I only do it on the weekends. Though I do stay up a little later than most on weeknights as well. My staying up late has curbed a little bit over the years. I don't stay up til 2 or 3 anymore, but I will stay up til 1:00 am on the weekends at the absolute latest. That's mainly due to me not falling asleep right away. So, by the time I fall asleep it could be 2:00 am. If I stay up much later than 1:00 am, it pushes that up to 3:00 am or 4:00 am. And then I'm not up until 12:00 or 1:00 pm the next day. Which I don't like. It's all about balance.

Well I guess when she encourages you to get one, and she suggests you make changes to your life insurance policy, it might be a good time to start worrying

When is the last time you popped into a dealer? I'm wondering if there are any current models that you would fancy. I bet there would be a few. The Cycle Gear I've been frequenting is about 500 yards or so from the HD dealer and about 500 yards from the Indian/Triumph dealer. I popped into HD last week and took a few pics.
These two are Street Bob 114s. I test rode a good looking orange one last year. That was a 2024 model. I'm quite sure the plum one is a 2025 and the one next to it may be a 2024 or a 2025; not sure.

These two are Street Bob 117s. I think these are the only bikes that I've seen, from any maker, that have rims that caught my eye. They look pretty sweet I think
