Just got back from a lovely lunch in the town over with the wifey...killer chicken salad stuffed inside a grilled pita from a German deli and took it to-go to the small neighborhood brewery across the street for a Friday mid-day beer. Perfect Friday lunch.

Drinking some coffee and watching a couple YouTube subs while I wait for my kid to wake up. Funny how she's up early with the birds when she's at her mom's but likes to sleep in when she's here. Oh well, we don't really have anything planned for today other than a quick run to the grocery store and I need to return a sander to Harbor Freight at some point today. Since it finally stopped raining, I was thinking about taking her to a stock car race tonight but i don't know if she'd be into that.

Glad you're ok, or at least I assume so since you're posting.

A huge tree branch fell in the yard over the winter so I’m finally tackling it. She’s a big bastard. Decided to go Paul Bunyan on it as my chainsaw crapped out a few years ago.

Regretting the hand saw now lol.

Drove for Lyft last night from around 9pm to 5am. Even went to Cleveland (slightly just over one hour from me).

Went to bed at 6AM, only to wake up around 8:15AM. Went fishing for the first time in my adulthood, with my family, from 9-11. It didn't go well. Fish weren't biting, and from the looks of all the other people near by, they weren't having any success either. But 3 of our 4 poles each separately got all tangled and knotted. I really wish I knew more about this stuff rather than looking like a fool in front of my kids and getting frustrated. It's just why can't anything go right??? After that whole ordeal, we stopped and grabbed lunch at a place we have never been to before. It was so delicious! Then a brief stop at a greenhouse and then the gas station.

When I got home, I started building my new deck that will house my grill, smoker, Blackstone, and prep cart. I have the whole base and support boards done, so tomorrow it's just laying the boards on top. I'll eventually stain it this summer sometime. That pretty much took majority of my afternoon and evening.

Resting up and driving again tonight

Went out riding with my buddy today. Took him on his first brief freeway ride and we did an easy lane-split at a stoplight which was his first time lane splitting. He did good and I think he was proud of himself. Before we set off on the ride, we met up at Cycle Gear where there were quite a few people gathered for what I'm assuming could be a group ride or a few group rides. Had some nice BMWs in the parking lot.

I convinced my daughter to spend Mother's Day with her mom tomorrow(for some reason she wasn't planning to, she was just going to call/text her), so I just got back from dropping her off. Now I'm settling in for the night and about to start watching Dangerous Minds
