It's Saturday already... and the first weekend in a about 2 months that I'm kid-free. I'm finishing this coffee and about to go to REI to spend some money I don't have on their anniversary sale. The local race track is having a $1 admission night so I may catch a stock car race tonight, been a hot minute since I've been to a dirt track.

then drove 9p-4a for Lyft - last night had some shitty people who I wish I could run over

Today
I've mostly been working in the garage. First time doing concrete, as I'm adding a step from garage floor to the door that takes you inside. I'm nervous haha.

Will probably do some driving tonight, but maybe not so long.

It's 4:02pm. I'm going to try and get up for work at about 9:15pm. But I kind of want to go to the Panda Express near my work right now and eat. If I could be done by about 5pm or so, I could try and sleep in my car in the parking for for about 4 hours and 45 minutes or so. I LOVE taking naps in the car when it's nice and warm but I'm not sure I actually would fall asleep.

Cut the hedges at my fiancee's house yesterday. Dropped my son off with my ex first, then went to work. Took about 5 hours. Showed my fiancee's the pics (she is in Delaware with her parents)...and she liked what I did. Even her mom liked what I did so much, that she says she is giving me a big hug when she sees me next. Guess I got the stamp of approval.

Then I went to the gym while I was "loose", afraid I might be soar this morning (surprisingly, I wasn't). Was at the gym for 2 hours....I had a good "pump" going on when I left.

With my "chores" done and no kid, I am totally free to do what I want today....thinking of going on a hike...if only it would be a nicer day...forecast is 67 (10 degrees below normal) and cloudy.

The concrete step I made yesterday looked okay on top as it still cures, but just as I had started to remove the frame around it, the corners crumbled and there's now a visible crack on top on one of the corners. I swear nothing can go right for me, ever.

I'd normally volunteer to work the holiday, and I did, but seeing that Sonora Pass opened for the season just last a week and a half ago, I had to ask my supervisor if I could get the day off. Got the okay so had to get away!

Now the plan is to go get some breakfast and then go for a hike. I got my hiking pants this time so I won't have to worry about ticks when the trail gets narrow due to the brush. Afterward, I'll probably jump on the bike a bit. I doubt I'll rent a kayak this trip but I may. We shall see!

Drinking some coffee, watching some YouTube, and researching houses/apartments. I'm going to apply for a mortgage and see what I can get pre-qualified for before I make any major decisions but i really do need to stop couch surfing

That sounds like me when I work on my cars. Doing a simple tire rotation yesterday and the pinch weld failed and there was a loud bang. I managed to get the jack out but it was embedded into part of the frame. F’n rust. So yeah..that’s a major issue moving forward and no, my tires did not get rotated.
