I don't think it is quite as intense as the 105 but it is most definitely a step up from my 1st Gen Sony that takes 20 minutes to load.

nope. if you bought if from oppo. as far as i know. there are shops that sell region free oppos. ever here in Finland. but they are a bit pricey.

just finished another essay. one more to go - then all 5 are ready. saturday is the deadline.

I got it from Amazon. No big deal. I don't know why I thought they were.

Would've been cool though.

I know it does PAL to NTSC conversions though.

It's cool man. It's not like I have this huge catalog of region 8 movies I'm dying to crack into.

I actually have a couple of foreign dvds that I watched a couple of times on a 30 dollar region free DvD player I bought years ago. I only watched them once and then forgot about them.

I looked in the manual and it is region locked, so you are right.

230V and I'd prefer region free. so I'd have use only one device. less hassle. takes less space. etc. oppo's are available. but pricey. in the future ... near future

You will not regret the purchase. I love my OPPO And you don't have a lot of region B movies... YET

An online store in canada offered the region free chip when I purchased it so it came region free out of the box. I paid more then I would have if I had done it myself but at that point, what' an extra 30 $

Just got off the phone with Comcast, as of December 12th I will no longer be paying for cable television! Damn, it feels liberating & bitter sweet at the same time.
