I really should be cleaning up around here before I move out tomorrow but I think I'd rather sit here and re-watch the disturbing Frozen Ground instead.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. I ended up getting the stomach flu yesterday, out of all days of the year, but I'm feeling much better today so I can't complain too much.

What brought it on? Honestly can't remember the last time I had the flu, I think it was last May during my trip to Discovery Bay in 2012.

I'm guessing it was a virus that was going around and I was just unfortunate to get it. I was feeling fine in the early morning but then began to feel odd/light headed and then it felt like I was hit with Thor's hammer. I guess it was a good thing that I hadn't eaten anything since the previous day.

The lack of proper nutrition may have brought it on since low blood sugar can affect your immune system and your ability to be clearheaded.

everyone around me is sick..dad is real sick..uncle has it...i felt crudy yesterday and kinda off today..but not flu...just feel weird...knocking on wood i don't get it bad

That's actually one of the reasons I try to avoid being around other people, I hate to get sick, makes it even harder than usual to control my chronic condition. Finishing up Frozen Ground then going to do some of that cleaning up I should've already done.

When i was in college the part of dorm life i hated was the part where 1 would get sick...then the entire floor would.

I get less sick now..but last year i had it horrible...took me 2 weeks to feel slightly normal...it takes a lot out of you..sucks

start washing your hands more often than just after you use the bathroom. go buy some antibacterial wipes and wipe down doorknobs, keyboard, mouse, faucet handles, anything that others may touch. you can also rinse with a therapeutic mouthwash (like listerine) a few times a day to kill any unwanted bacteria/germs.

as well, start making sure you get plenty of vitamin c and potassium (orange juice/oranges and bananas).

this is what i do when someone who is or has recently been sick comes into close contact with me. i know it sounds "over-the-top" and maybe ocd or strange, but i don't like being sick and do all i can to keep from getting that way.

Wondering how the people I live with lose all their DirecTV remotes, I've never lost a remote in my life. Now I know what I'm going to get these weirdos for Christmas next year, a keyfinding device, just attack the elements to their remotes and they will(hopefully) never lose their remotes again.
