Shit is getting real down here for us here in San Diego, there are now a total of 8 different fires burning in the county. One of those fires is only aboot 15 miles north of my house!

trying to wake up for my early-as-hell shift today (5:30 am to 10:00 am).

usually me earliest start time was 7:45 am. so as soon as this showed up i made sure to fill out a new availability form and cross off this time. this is just too damn early for me.

i usually don't fall asleep before midnight, so getting up at 4:00 am doesn't make for a good (i.e., productive) day at work.

seriously - these fires are on the news here in Finland too. horrible business. I remember (was it last year) when almost whole fire team/brigade died in similar fires.
