Correct, I should have said this before, but I started my professional TV Broadcast engineering career specializing in ENG RF cameras and ENG Van microwave systems design.

5G is on millimeter frequencies, which are very high Microwave frequencies and the higher the RF frequency the more harmful the radiation could be, especially if you were very close to a directional antenna with a narrow footprint pattern.

Thanks for the link! I'm studying this subject.

I am not saying this article is true. But tumors in the brain is the worse place to get a tumor, since many people do not survive. Something is causing a increase in brain tumors and cancer. Could be the food, water quality, air quality, EMI/RFI pollution, or something else.

For those that do not known 5G well be used by the Smartphone companies to offer high speed Internet while one is away from home.

However if one is working in the office or at home the Fiber optic cable offered by todays cable TV and telephone companies well be faster and more reliable when compared to 5G. Fiber can offer 10GB per second and in the future over 100GB per second for residential customers.

5G is ideal for Smartphone users that are seating parked in their car away from a public place that does not offer good WI-FI. However if one is next to a good WI-FI connection that is sourced from 10GB residential Internet, then WI-FI well be better then 5G. Some people are worried about the unknown health problems that 5G wireless might cause. Some people feel 5G is completely safe while others feel it might be 10 years or later before we know more about the risks of 5G.
Yes, you are correct that ATSC 3.0 can use the same OTA UHF band they currently use. ATSC 3.0 will also be delivered via OTT, IP and it is also being proposed to be on the 5G network. Cell phones, mobile applications, and even TV programming will be available on your cell phone and car via 5G.

Verizon and other OTT carriers are proposing 5G for all cable broadcasting and not even running fiber or coax to or in your home. You home TV programming will be delivered via 5G to all of your TVs wirelessly. This would depend on how soon we'll see the proliferation of 5G and this is likely several years away, but is in the plans.

Verizon FIOS runs 100% fiber from the central office to the side of the home using a fiber to coax converter box mounted on the side of the customers home. The Verizon FIOS model is ideal but costs billions of dollars. 5G is cheaper to roll out and might save several millions of dollars.

If business and home owners were smart they would boycott subscribing to 5G and demand Verizon FIOS.

ATSC 3.0 And 5G: Adversaries Or Collaborators?

This will be interesting as to how it will be resolved in the courts. The FCC has regulations that prevent communities from restricting deployment of 5G. This is the reason Montgomery County, MD had to develop reasonable guidelines for the deployment. My area will be getting these mini towers shortly with one about 300 feet from my house.

Most people well not boycott the 5G service and get Direct TV instead, most people because of the speed well purchase 5G if there is nothing else available. And hopefully there is no health issues with 5G.

However most the country already has some type of cable TV service using either RG-6 coaxial cable or fiber optic cable. Today's existing cable companies can offer 10GB and 1GB per second Internet in both directions.

Unless one lives in a real remote rural area, these 5G roll outs must be from a Internet or TV provider that is trying to compete with a existing cable company or telephone company in the same city. For example in certain areas of the country people can choose between Verizon FIOS or Comcast cable for both Internet, TV, and phone. If a company is rolling out 5G service and one already has cable TV in their neirborhood, then the existing cable company has the potential to offer much better quality when compared to 5G.

The real advantage of 5G is for people with Smartphones and tablets that are in their car parked and on the go around town when someone else is driving of course.

Yeah, and of course that has suddenly become a priority with internet connected clocks, speakers, ovens, mirrors, windows, microwaves, bulbs, washing machines, baby monitors, blinds, toilets, basins, dish washers, door bells, sprinklers, garden knomes, underwear, slippers, toilet paper etc..

Not just for that. Also large stores and buildings where penetration is difficult. Also, I read it’s absolutely essential for smart cars.

I believe it's in the Telcomm act of 96 that prevents government from interfering, including for health reasons, and recent regulations made up to curtail a community's efforts to stop a technologies roll out.

I included that. I was thinking Newcastle FC and that’s covered under toilet paper.
