Mockingjay Pt.1 is headed for a $130M opening weekend, by far the worst OW for the franchise. Why aren't people flocking to this?

People are getting tired of splitting books into multiple parts, even if there is enough material to justify it.

It's unfortunate since this movie does not lag at all. I thought that it was repetitive only once, when
[Show spoiler]they show Katniss visiting District 12 again. However, that's where we also get Gale's version of how some people managed to escape to District 13
.

No. I went to the 2:20 PM show yesterday. There were about 15 people total in a 500 seat theater, much lower than I though. I thought the crowds would be bigger than the Interstellar crowds, and that was an almost packed house.

Actually yeah, my sister did, and I'm sure others. It's a small theater of full back recliners, only 4 rows, and there were projection issues before the start of the movie. Once that was fixed, they forgot to turn off the lights.

I just didn't go into all of those details. I also wore a blue shirt, sipped on a soda, and probably scratched my cheek about 5 times too.

Why would you actually stay for the whole movie? You probably couldn't see anything onscreen
[Show spoiler]when the rebels were rescuing Peeta, Johanna, and Annie
.

I could see things fine, remember it was a small theater? Only 4 rows. There were maybe 6 overhead lights on and who knows how many on the side wall. But still, none of them were dimmed. It was still annoying.

By the way I hope you don't assume i didn't wear any pants since I didn't mention that detail, I did.

Why do you have a bee in your bonnet over my posts? At this point I'm going to assume you're autistic or something.

This kind of opening is what happens when Jennifer can't even get fans like MBF to go see the movie day 1.

This is one of my favorite scores this year. I love when all of the elements join in; Lawrence, the background vocals, and the score.

The Hanging Tree - The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt.1 Score (James Newton Howard) - YouTube
I honestly thought the song was well placed in the movie it was something sung out of depression. I was more taken aback by "angry" Katniss and her horrible propaganda promo then I was this song.

That is one of the driving forces of the novels, Katniss is a very angry woman and that is one of the focal points of the rebellion.

The only line from the propos that I at is where she says "fire is catching!". I remember thinking how unnatural and awkward it seemed for Katniss to say that in the book, and I felt the same when it was said in the movie. Just feels too contrived by Collins.

[Show spoiler]Fire is catching makes sense to me since the civil war of Panem is literally burning the country. I was more put off by how they handled the rescue scene but I guess they did the best they could with how it was written.

It makes sense, but it still sounds painfully awkward and unnatural. That line bothered me too. It's only one line though.

The line didn't really bother me. I felt it was a nice little wink or nod to the second film/novel. But yeah, those
[Show spoiler]early Katniss promos were awkward yet funny at the same time
.
