If a person is going to pay $6,000.00 -$8,000.00 or more for a TV, they are going to want to see a hell of a lot more than short videos, and those are only suppose to be demos and beside, how does anyone know that those are really in 8K? Anybody can upload short videos and images on the internet and labeled them as 8K, and nobody won't be able to tell the difference. If that's the case, people might as well keep the 4K TVs they already have. People want to have hundreds of full length movies, sport events, concerts etc to get their money's worth out of a 8K TV, which is not going to happen for a very long time, if not at all. 8K is far from being a reality and right now it's nothing but a marketing ploy. Certain people have been hoodwinked and duped out of thousands of dollars buying these 8K TVs, just so they can say: " I have one".

Most of the examples are submitted from 4K HDR cameras on Youtube. But there are some good ones if you look around online.
![]() A example from NIPPON WANDERING TV 3840x2160@30 bt2020 Their stores in Japan are so full of tech toys and gadgets, while here your lucky to find any store that carries anything. ![]() |

![]() Thats a more reasonable solution for DIY 8K video producers. This and the previous examples shows that the 8K filmmaking with commercial and consumer products is still getting better and less expensive. |

![]() Most people aren't buying 8K sets because they're 8K, they're buying them because they're the default premium sets at larger screen sizes for several brands. It happened with 4K vs 1080p, same thing will happen/is happening here. Hell, I bought my first 4K TV eight years ago (!) and it had nothing to do with the actual 4K aspect of it. |
