Did anyone grab the Elvira version? Did her extra bits seem awkwardly edited in? I missed out on the first film so looking to grab it now with Part 2, but hard to find any reviews on the Elvira version and whether or not it’s worth it. Thanks!

I got the Elvira edition, and didn't notice any "awkwardness" in any way. I would've liked more Elvira/Cassandra Peterson stuff in the doc to make it more special edition than the regular version, but it was was worth the price of admission.

Especially seeing my name in the credits

So conflicted on this. I'm glad at least I found out about it now, and there is still a few weeks before orders are stopping (going through Oct 31).

The price for just Part 2 is very high at $70, but...if you buy it, you get the digital copy of Part 1 included, or for $15 more, you can add on a physical version of Part 1. Since the cheapest Blu's on eBay for Part 1 well over $100 alone (cheapest right now is like $120 actually), I can almost make a case for buying Part 2 to get to Part 1.

So Part 1 and Part 2 Blu-rays for $90ish bucks once you add shipping.

At the moment, I think I am going to pass...it's too bad the Elvira version wasn't going to be available, because that just might put me over the edge as I love her so much. I'd feel like I was spending $90 and still not getting the one I really want.

For those who have been holding out, though, this is probably the best "deal" on these physically, unfortunately.

Seventy bucks? **** that noise. The company burned up all its goodwill with the first go round (and of the Action doc - which was even worse), so they can take a long **** off a short pier.

I've asked on the Facebook posts they've made about the new doc if it'll be on pressed discs or burned discs like last time.

The fact that I've gotten no replies to it has me worried.

So the first campaign had them sending out crumpled up posters and BD-r discs and now the only way to get the second one is to buy one of the 17 different bundles for $70-$85? Are these people purposefully trying to piss people off? At a time when a lot of people are out of work and financially struggling they offer no blu-ray only option whatsoever? Forcing people into that kind of price point is f**king ridiculous. If anyone here is ever thinking of running a fan friendly crowd funding campaign to get a project off the ground, just do the exact opposite of what these greedy assh***s are doing.

Luckily I was one of the later ones to receive my copy of Part 1. The case and disc were both good. Both professional quality. So luckily I missed out on the cheap china crap that a number of people ahead of me got. I had zero problems the first time around. I feel like for this one they'll go with the same process as they did with the last one (after the chinese debacle, when things were good).

$70 is pretty expensive, but seeing how much phyisical copies of #1 are going for now, I may just pick this up. It also comes with a collectable pin and three posters. Overall it's probably a $30-$40 dollar value. So that leaves $30-$40 for their profit. Not too bad I guess.

Yep, if they had a blu-ray only option to cut down costs.

I funded the first one in Nov 2018.
Got the bend posters and burnt bd-r in dec 2019
And got pressed disc and replacement posters in May 2020
The price was £50 (about US$65) plus postage. So is pretty close to the part 2 cost

The Part 2 Elvira edition ($90), and you can add the Part 1 Elvira physical edition for $15 more

I missed out on part 1 so I had to jump on this. I had no idea about the issues regarding BD-R discs and damaged product though. I'm thrilled about this doc peppered with concern now. So the BD-R discs were only through a certain website?

Same here, thankfully. I got a nice pressed disc, Elvira poster was rolled. It was definitely nicer than the Chinese crap some folks (unfortunately) received. I think they figured out that will never fly with the fans of this documentary. Now we get a slipcover and booklet, and several posters. I think they've learned a lesson with that first go-round.

I like that they are doing YouTuber variations this time, though I haven't heard of most of the YouTubers they've used, save for Watercooler. I'm excited for this sequel, to be honest.

I watched this on Shudder a couple of weeks ago. To reiterate what others have said, it's a fun watch and the running time soon flies by, but it's definitely episodic, surface-level stuff that doesn't really bring anything new to the table. I'm glad I never contributed to funding.

Yea, thats how I felt too. Some films get a behind the scenes look by the makers but there is alot of, what other people think of these films.

It's fun but wasnt what I was expecting. If they were planning on doing multiple parts, I wished they'd do big popular title retrospectives on pt. 1 and lower budgets in pt.2 espeshally since the guy who made this makes deep retrospectives.

The part1 was done via Kickstarter.
The company they originally used to produce and mail out the disc/posters were bd-r and folded posters (not rolled).
The complaints came in, so they found another company to do it properly (presses disc and rolled posters).
So there was a percent who got the original bd-r and had to ask for replacement.
Others only got the new company stuff with no issues.
