Any word on this being a hexology/filmed back to back? A mere film short of 6 seems an odd number to end Ford’s legacy with.

Pauly Shore is only 53, recast him as Indy.

What's so special about six as opposed to five?

It's completely arbitrary.

"Pentalogy" sounds cooler than "hexalogy," so why not?

Check out one thing I noticed recently.

Here Indy 5 is described as the "final chapter" with Harrison Ford returning to "conclude this iconic characters journey".

But they seemed to have walked back those comments. This is the update: https://www.starwars.com/news/future...jects-revealed

The "final chapter" has been changed to "the next installment" and instead of Ford returning to "conclude this iconic characters journey" it says he is returning to "continue his iconic characters journey".

What’s the % chance this will be Mangolds version of “The Wolverine” for Indy, and we will get Indiana Jones 6 as his version of Indiana Jones’s “Logan”?

I say that because I want more than just one more film, and I’m sure Disney does too.

Plus The Wolverine had lots of WW2 flashback scenes like Indy 5 apparently will have.

Well, I’m not the one to ask. You might want to ask Hollywood, they’re the ones that have made decades worth of trilogies (or sets of trilogies) for their franchises. Don’t take that too literally now, I’m well aware there are exceptions to that rule, but it’s still largely in place IMO.

Sigh. Not a huge list when compared to all films ever but even among those above, many were planned as trilogies or sets of trilogies. Star Wars (generally) and POTC for example. Even the MCU; most characters are getting three solo films, three avenger films (endgame doesn’t count, as that almost was going to be Infinity War: Part 2) and if some are lucky, a second set of solo films that, you guessed it, will be in sets of three (generally). Also, why would we count stand-alone?

I'm not opposed to a 6th Indy film if it were to ever happen.

Every episode: <Jones shakes fist> "You've GOT to get out of the library!"

Ford has stated many times he never plans on retiring, he’s also stated Indy is his favorite character to play. He would 100% be down for any and all of this in case there are any doubters.
True, but he would be expensive. It doesn't seem to me that he ever works cheap.

Why wait.

"Wow this looks good"
"Still looks like shit, the movie should not even exist. Disney needs to go away"
"Man you need to relax either watch the movie or not"
"I am just posting some criticism"
"You have not even seen the movie just a short trailer"
"Insert random gif or image"

I'll bet you're not nearly as excited as the Youtoobers who are rehearsing for their reaction videos as we speak.

That one should be framed! The hypocrisy is real with people referencing Rotten Tomatoes!

Not sure 'Fedora' would have the same appeal as 'Indiana Jones' though.
