Parts of it are really good. Most of it is decent, but with some parts that really stand out in a negative way however. I think my main 'problem' with Indy 4 is that in the context of having waited almost two decades for it to get made it just wasn't good enough.

My thoughts exactly!

I love that photoshopped Chris Pratt Indy photo. He sure has the looks for it.

Pratt looks fat in Endgame, he’s always been trying to challenge Thor in every way.

All he's missing is Ford's acting chops and charisma.

Bradley Cooper would be a better Jones by far

I could live with Cooper. I just can't stand Pratt outside his Star Lord role.

His Jurassic World role actually strikes me as coming a lot closer to an Indy-like action hero, a little less goofy and more physical.

If Fogelman's doing a page 1 rewrite, then I'm getting closer and closer to saying this movie will never happen.

It's been 11 years since Skull, a movie which already played up the whole 'too old for this shit' angle. By the time they could even roll cameras on this, it will have been at least 12 years, and 13 by the time the film actually releases. And that's assuming they actually shoot next year, which certainly isn't guaranteed as this point.

As much as it pains me, I think we're probably not going to see this one. Maybe a Die Hard 6-style thing with Ford recounting the exploits of a new Young Indiana Jones in several scenes, but that's all I can see happening.

If they go with a new Young Indy, they'd have to set the story before Raiders, which might upset the most loyal fans.

I also don't think it deserved the hate it got and I enjoy it even though it my least favorite of the Indy movies.

My main issue is the filmmakers trying to shoehorn Shia LaBeouf into the Indy successor role a little too quickly. Indy suffers from this and is almost reduced to a Supporting Role at times. There were already far too many characters in the movie in the first place.

Needs to be someone that will be around for awhile, like 10 years or so, so we can at least ( 3-5 ) films out of the new Indy.

I really wanted a Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis story centered around the orichalcum mineral this time.

It's the one big myth, probably the biggest myth that Indy hasn't tackled yet outside of the old pc game.

He's done the ark, he's done the grail, he's done aliens....Atlantis please!

Now if only Spielberg has the power to pull Connery out of retirement for one last role. A flashback sort of cameo would be fine.

Not gonna happen. He hasn't been in anything since like 2002. Maybe doesn't want fans to see what he looks like now.

But what about the cgi swinging with monkeys scene? Surely that would be pretty out of place in Indiana Jones 1-3. I personally quite enjoy Crystal Skull until Karen Allen shows up. From pretty much that point on, the film is really quite dodgy.

I thought the monkeys were a barrel of laughs!

Only reason they couldn't have pulled it off in the earlier movies was because the CGI just didn't exist pretty much! But this fits right in with the overall goofiness of the 1950s, people were a little more loose in some ways because America was enjoying the postwar boom. These movies sort of reflect the times they take place in.

I've always felt that Ryan Gosling would make a superb Indiana Jones if they were ever to reboot the franchise. He looked great in a fedora in Gangster Squad.

Maybe they could improve Indiana Jones 1-3 by bringing out Star Wars style special editions? It would be cool to see some cgi prairie dogs and monkey swinging in those movies.
