I agree Trean, there is a lot of history in our thread. It is definitely a lot less welcoming place then it used to be, although I still hope things can change. I've enjoyed chatting with and learning from all you other cover artists here. It has been a lot of fun.

The spine on the custom one here is 11mm I need the spine to be 15.8mm...

I agree Trean, there is no reason for such a movie that does not hurt anything. This thread has the largest following on this site with the best positive aspect of this community and deserves a better treatment than it has gotten!

The Custom Cover Art thread was stripped of its "OFFICIAL" tag a few months back without any reasoning. Yesterday, this long lasting content generating thread was silently whisked away to the "Off Topic Discussion" forum. Over the past three years the Custom Cover Art thread and its predecessor have brought together a community of artists to provide their work for free within this blu-ray.com community.


We as a sub-community are asking that the thread be moved back to the Blu-ray Movies - USA and Region A forum where it or its predecessor has resided for a few weeks shy of 3 years. Many other threads similar in nature don't directly discuss the movies but something about the movies (i.e. the covers in our case) such as The BD Slipcover List and Blu-ray Customer Support Numbers/Links and they still exist within the Blu-ray Movies - USA and Region A forum.

If this doesn't happen, when it is combined with recent actions, it appears we as a sub-community of custom cover artists we are no longer welcome.

Thus my point. A slip-cover thread is just as off topic in the USA Region A Movies forum as a custom cover art thread. Here we display and commend replacement artwork for movies most frequently bought by people in this Region. In the slip-cover thread I am guessing they discuss slip-covers and what movies have them, what ones don't and what ones should as well as whether one person likes them or not.

I got mixed up because for a second we were talking about gettin moved in the slip cover thread. But it doesn't matter cause we're back now

I bought Ali in Taiwan the cover art is all Chinese. Every other movie I bought here has a extra slip that covers the spine and back, it slips out and reveals English covers.

How can I go about getting Ali in English? I have searched and cannot find it.

And you guys posting have amazing talents. Very cool stuff.

For those interested in my Stanley Kubrick Collection, the designing process is near complete. Construction is going to start soon. It will be a trial and error process, but one that I hope isn't too expensive. I will take pics of it and hopefully have it posted by the end of the week.

If anyone is interested I will keep the thread up to date on this very large production and construction of the case. I will also make the 5-disc cover available to be inserted into the standard amaray case. However, it will not include space for the yet to be released "Lolita" and "Barry Lyndon". I'm still questioning whether or not I will be able or have the funds to build more than one of these, but I will keep you posted as it could be a rather expensive project. We'll see.

[EDIT] I would like to add that if any artist has any of their own artwork to contribute to said collection's design then pm me with a link to the Hi res of the image and I'll see if I can include it. If the artists work is to be used, then I shall gladly attribute the artist.

Hi guys just a little note: found out that some of the studios are now watching this forum and some of the custom cover sites like hirescovers.net do to copyright issues, if any of you remember the issue with dvdcoverart a while back.there watching, be safe

please enlighten us on the "dvdcoverart" issue... Cuz I don't really know of this. Seems a little fishy to me, because we credit the studios in all our covers, no one is changing their logos, no one is profiting off of their designs, etc. so what's the issue?
