I like the way that Tombstone cover is looking.

Here is my first cover I did. Planet of the Apes Box set.

All of the type was done in Illustrator and brought into PS. The main Planet font was hand manipulated in Illustrator to match the original as best as I could.

The pictures were scanned from the front and back covers of the book at 600dpi and scaled down to fit.

I need to make it wider for the 5-disc case. I haven't decided if I am going to do all the rest of the specs and stuff on the back or just keep it like this.

So I recently got a 400 - Disc Changer so I no longer have a use for many custom covers as the majority of my cases get filed in a box. However I thought of something that I would find useful and perhaps others would as well.

Would someone be interested in creating a "Lending Cover" for when a friend or family member wants to borrow a movie. It could be a general cover where we can input our own names in the cover. Perhaps something along the lines of "Please remember to return this movie to _______" (just an idea). I know that even when I had all my cases out that part of my hesitation about lending movies was getting the case back all dirty or messed up. The discs are pretty indestructable, but the cases always seemd to get at least a little messed up.

If anyone wants to give this a shot I would appreciate it. Again, it would be something generic along the same lines as the PS3 Netflix Disc Cover. If I'm the only one that would use it then please don't to it just for me, but if others are interested then perhaps it would be worth doing.

Like the Planet box set. You might want to fade or create a gradient from black to blue on the back so the image disappears into the back. Since the text is white it would more than likely still look fine on this gradient. Also I would suggest expanding the specs box across the bottom so that it spans the bottom of the back cover up to the logo; or add more logos to the right of the box so there isn't that awkward space between the one logo and the box.

Just suggestions, its good how it is if you like it.

You'll find that there are different recommendations based on preference. Some like glossy while others like matte, ranging from photographic paper to HP brochure paper to laserjet papers with different finishes depending on your printer. I use Jefferson 100# gloss text but these are generally used in commercial applications. They have a good weight and prints well on the digital press I use.

But. I think Jiminy is a little too colorful, and initially I was using important items like spinning wheels, roses and cursed amulets for the Disney series. So if anyone has a better idea than Jiminy, it would be very much apreciated .

How about marionette strings and handle without the puppet?

that's one sexy cover.
Just loose the BD logo at the bottom. You don't need it, at least not that big, considering you're going to put the cover in a case that has the logo on the front.
It's hard to see at this size, but are the actors last names bold? If not, I think there should be a little more space between the different actors.

Good idea. I was also thinking of the cage Pinocchio gets locked in, or I could try a crate full of donkeys, although it might be hard to get a good screencap of that.

Looking for a blu ray cover of Speed (Keanu Reeves). I bought the DVD/Blu Ray combo from Walmart for $10 and really hate the DVD Case so wanted to put it in a blu ray case with blu ray artwork. Any help much appreciated

I think a magic wand would work well if you can find an image of one.

I like the Jiminy version; simply because if I just saw the back I would know what movie it is. You should stick with images that exult that thought if you do change it.

You beat me to it! That's the obvious answer (and the best).

And you wouldn't know what movie it is if you saw empty marionette strings? A character from the film is just too obvious and boring. I like the idea of clever items that only evoke the spirit of one movie
