These are seriously good.
That extra photo/less text on the reverse really makes a difference.
And the choice of extra photo for Temple is great - love that shot in the mine car.

My only suggestion for it is that I kind of feel like flame might be a good element in it somewhere.
Here is my first vintage poster that I did for Batman Under the Red Hood:
I actually did the one for Temple of Doom before I did the one for Raiders but i have both done now:

I appear to have forgotten my manners in the other post. Thank you for the compliment, it means a lot coming from one of the top cover creators on this thread. I've been considering your flame idea and I was thinking of either having flames in the background going about 1/3 to 1/2 way up the page or doing a torch on either side of the faces. I haven't gotten the chance to test either idea yet. Let me know what you think (I'll probably try both and see what looks best). Also, I am taking requests for movies/TV shows to do in this style. While I love some of the complex artwork created by users on this thread there is something that I love about the vintage/minimalist style.

As I mentioned to you over at Euphoricfx I knew that my efforts would be overshadowed when yourself and Nissen worked your Indiana Jones covers.

I actually prefer these to my own, with the exception of the "Temple of Doom" cover. Not fond of the forced placement of the photo in amongst the artwork.

I had a problem with that "Temple of Doom" poster, which is why I know why you did that. What I did was clip it into two (essentially). It meant I had to recreate Indy's face where the arm obscured it, rebuild his hat, and I added a lot more flame that was in the original poster, which I achieved with mixed results.

Of course the backs are all universally better than any of mine

I wonder if making an extra-large silhouette of Indy around the whole thing would look cool, especially given how much of a shadow he cast in the movies (literally and figuratively). Maybe the flames in that case would make it too busy.

I had seen the Red Hood one but forgot it when I saw your TOD poster. I like the "dirtied" look, and maybe adding too many other elements would spoil the surprise, I don't know.

One other (slight) issue is that I feel like the Sankara stones as a group there might get a bit lost in just silhouette form. Could you put back in the edges of the front one so it's clear they're three maybe? Or some other visual cue. The Ark is pretty distinctive and works as-is, I think.
Thank you for the feedback, I'll look into the silhouette of Indy and hopefully post an updated version today. Also, part of the style is not really having any lines to divide things, so what I'll probably do is split up the group and make the stones in the back slightly darker (enough to create a noticeable difference). Also, for the third movie, which villain should I do? Elsa Schneider or Walter Donovan? (Irina Spalko will be on the 4th)

I also tried to choose (some) different poster art when I did mine. I had been meaning to do these eventually, but seeing yours got me excited and I jump-started the project.

As far as the Indy 2 cover--that's not actually a photo; it's from the French release poster, which is also painted:

Ah my bad. I thought perhasps you had done some photoshop paint filter on the photo

You are being too modest. Your Indy covers are leagues ahead of anything I have created. I wonder how we will fare when Nissen ramps up his much anticipated Indy covers

No pressure Nissen

The more of your covers I see (you, Imrahil, everyone), the less I feel the need to make any myself There are slight things here and there I would do differently, but mostly I'd have very little to add to what you guys have already done. I'd maybe make some homage covers to my old VHS covers of these films, but otherwise, I'm good. Maybe a collection cover is upcoming, but it's less and less likely I'll be making indivduals.

And I didn't mean lines per se; just darker-colored areas behind or to the sides of the front stone. Your solutions seem like either could work. What about putting the three white "lines" (which would really just be areas of color) on one of the stones?
Here are the revised versions, may revise again because the positioning of the objects (more specifically the stones) looks slightly awkward on the Indy Silhouette. Not sure if that's just me being an 18 year old or something others will also notice.

The Raiders face should be melting.

Also, I completely LOLed at the "stones" one. You're right, that needs to move. Maybe a different Indy silhouette would fix it; he doesn't need to be the same for all three.

I quite like it as another element though, I think it works.
Here are the updated ones, let me know what you think.

The Pacific (Jumbo Amaray size)
Star Wars I-VI (Either Jumbo Amaray or individual, ideally the original poster art)
Kidulthood (I don't like the UK slim case version)

Awesome thanks

I respect that it is a lot of work. I just want a consistent collection where everything is in amarays, no steelbooks, no slipcovers, no digipacks. Just amarays haha.

And why shouldn't some one have to pay for items some else developed and produced. If you think $12 a year is too much to down load everything on the web site and that $12 helps keep the web site going, maybe you should learn to do custom covers yourself and save the $12

For simply scanned and uploaded covers you should pay?

Do you pay for this (blu-ray.com) site? How does this site function if you don't?

You don't pay the website owners, actually. You just pay for the bandwidth. The artsists also doesn't get a dime, so a 'thank you' is always appreciated
