I am also a great admirer of this film (and the novel) so I'm glad to see someone tackling it. I started a custom cover for this myself, but I haven't worked on it for two years.
The second one you did is a dead ringer for the old paperback. Is that intentional?

The original Blu-ray cover was really atrocious. I am not hard to please when it comes to covers, but this was just "WTF were they thinking?" bad.

Absolutely intentional. I had the Apple Paperback version of "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH"...my mother bought it for me, because she knew I liked the movie a lot. That was 30 years ago, and it's long since gone...but the cover of that was the inspiration.

I just started doing these, not a professional or anything...just can't stand the botched up artwork they have nowdays...and there are titles I would love to see get the Criterion treatment, so I went ahead made a few of my own...it's definitely a lot of fun.

Saw this fan art for Abyss modeled after a Avatar marketing piece, got me thinking is anyone here working on an Abyss and True Lies custom?

I really like what this artist did for the fake mockup.

The Friday the 13th collection cover was for sell with a 10 disc blu ray case included. It was not being shared for free.

He's actually doing one more run of cases for anyone that's interested. This is probably the last one he will do, though. So if anyone wants it, they'd better grab it.

I'm working on one for myself, based on the old VHS cover. It's in Swedish though.

Just wondering if anyone has had time to make a cover for Shaq movie STEEL from DC Comics? I know its a terrible movie but I am trying to complete my comic movie collection and thats the last cover I need! Can anyone help me out?

I've seen more and more of these old VHS conversions as of late and I must say I absolutely adore them. They make such great looking customs covers. I'd love to convert my entire collection to this style if it was feasible.

Is there some sort of telepathic consciousness thing going on, because I started one, too.

The spine TT is temporary until I finish making a new one that matches the poster's TT.

I noticed you're including two different Swedish dubs. Here in Norway we didn't even get one!
I prefer the original English myself, but it would make it more accessible to the wee 'uns.

If anyone is still interested in them I am finally having Nissen work on the next 10 in the Retro White Disney collection. Hopefully we can have this series completed by the end of the year or beginning of next year
