Yeah Penton, that double-hump camel looks pretty secure for any serious cameraman.

tvine2000,

Hahahahaha!!!! Yet another clueless post!!!! Like I said over and over again. The problem is not OLED, the problem is LG C series OLED design. I have yet to see burn in on anything but the C series. Exceptions will always be there but the bulk of it is the C series. I’ve used my OLED for 2 years with heavy scope viewing, heavy YouTube viewing and some PS3 gaming and absolutely zero burn in. Not even having to run panel maintenance. I’ve had 2 Panasonic OLEDs with no problem. My next door neighbours who watch a lot of Chinese channel with static station logo and lots of scope HK movies on THERE series OLED. My parents with THERE A1E for 3 years (also lots of scope and YouTube, running 6 hours a day).

Also NONE, and I mean none of my OLED clients (various brands and models that are not LG C series) experienced burn in. None of THERE OLEDs have burn in. Is it pure coincidence that (approx) 100 OLEDs of varying sizes, brands, models, and viewing habits don’t have burn-in?

Yes, burn in is real, but nearly all complaints I’ve read, heard and witnessed are on the C series.

So, it's safer to purchase the LG OLED "B", "E" and "G" series? ...BEG

The E for sure are OK (I have a couple of clients use them). The Signature series is OK too. Honestly I’ve never heard of the G series and I don’t think the B series is in production. At least not in Canada.

The only thing is that I tell my clients to do the following

1. Watch varying content in movie night mode (or equivalent) for approx the first 100 hours

2. Calibrate at 100-200 hours but not earlier

3. Go nuts (just not excessively)

Thanks for the link. I can’t comment on the rollable and 8k OLED as they are not something I’ve seen outside CES2019 yet. The W is the reference I mentioned above. The B, funny enough, I don’t know a single person who owns that series. I didn’t even know that LG still make the B series until the article you linked above.

Why is it everyone on this forum, (at least on the last page – gkolb, sapiendut, you) knew about the real existence of 2 hump camels but me. You guys get out more than I thought.

There was actually an investigation regarding such a thing with Hollywood producer Don Bellisario (of JAG fame) back in ’07 -

I think all the basic ingredients are present…..not to put an pressure on, but I believe the outcome will be significantly dependent upon Eddie’s skills - https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0357835/

It's not because we've seen them in real life; we've just seem them before, or @ the zoo, @ the library (books, encyclopedias), school (studies, geography, etc.), documentaries (National Geographic), Netflix, etc.

That's all.

But from you we learn much more about Top Gun: Maverick (behind the scenes), cameras used, their emplacement, angles, 6K HDR, decor sets, etc.

It's fun all the fun things we share in this HDR thread, and the wide interest, the contributions, the good humor, the peaceful attitude you encourage and inspire.

It's not every thread that we get to discuss double hump camels ...

Eddie?

_____

Eddie (editing/clips comparison) ...

If anyone here haven't seen the film (he's a top gun too, Eddie in real life), I highly recommend it.
Underrated IMO

* This could also be released in HDR (4K) eventually.

Well HDR is now pretty much simply being refined as it evolves; whereas, IMO the next significant (revolutionary) upgrade in picture quality, at least for sports fans like me, will be HFR, which will take awhile, so till then we’ve got to settle for the randomness of 2 hump camels and such animals.

b.t.w., not all aerial footage was shot while pulling 8G’s in fighter jets, for example –
