Shouldn't they be announcing the next wave of titles soon.

I read somewhere they had scanned over 170 titles in 4k.

Watched MIB 4K last night and thought is was just enough of improvement. Certainly not as much as Ghostbusters or Glory, but especially like Glory the tighter grain structure seemed to make a noticeable difference.

I hope the "Basic Instinct" films are among the 170. They were pretty crappy releases.

MiB is quite a big improvement.

Old vs New

The first is a Lionsgate title. Even though the UK release is the best option available, a re-master like Total Recall would be most welcome.

In all fairness the old Blu-Ray still looks pretty good, but the MI4K version is still a big upgrade.

I wanna upgrade a few of my titles to these MI4K releases.

I understand that my player and tv will rung the discs, but can I see any difference? I don't have the new 4KTVs. I've got a 2012 BD player from Pioneer and a 60" 2012 Samsung Plasma.

I'm not a big fan of the 4K release because I think it's a money grab but I do have a couple and I think Glory looks the best out all the new 4K transfers. I'm very happy with it

Depends on the movie. Some are a money grab. Total Recall 2012 and The Amazing Spider Man come to mind.

However some of them are not.. And are a MASSIVE upgrade. You just gotta do the research on them.

Just look at some comparison screenshots, and you tell us. Can you see a difference? Fact of the matter is, it really depends on which movie you're talking about. Films like Ghostbusters that actually needed an upgrade look loads better, but other films like Taxi Driver, while still a slight improvement, don't look like a huge upgrade.

I orderd MIB and Ghostbusters. They look a lot nicer than the original releases. Can't wait for them to arrive!

Both set me back $13.40 each.

"This Is The End" is listed as being Mastered in 4k. Not sure if this is part of that series or if Sony is just putting it on all the new releases coming from 4k masters now.

I'm pretty sure the latter is true.
