Thank God I was able to snatch a copy at $27. I don't care about the ETA of October 12 - November 9, you guys make sure you get a copy before it gets OOP again.

The site lists the release date as 9/26 is that just wrong? Or is that the official restock day? Or are people just getting these early and complaining they didn't come early enough?

How are you supposed to grab a copy when Amazon and Target don't even notify you when it's in stock? Seems like pure luck at this stage

Sony truly knows exactly what they are doing. They aren't clueless about releasing their classics at all.

Amazon Canada got it for 50 CAD. Let's hope some of our Canadian friends are lucky.

Right now the only one Amazon Canada is showing is for $177 CAD which is more than I am willing to pay.

And that should pretty much tell you all you need to know about Amazon's "Best Seller" rankings.

Those Amazon sales rankings were always sales relative to other products over a small window of time. If "Lawrence of Arabia" came back in stock, someone posted a link or flippers had been on the lookout, it would easily become the "#1 Best Seller" for that window of time. Currently, it's obviously nowhere on the list because they aren't even selling it. When (if) it comes back in stock, it will be the #1 Best Seller again... for an hour. Amazon's "Best Sellers" list are only indicative of how well something is selling at that point in time, not really how well it's selling overall.

Not that "Lawrence of Arabia" isn't selling - it's obviously selling whatever Sony provides. They just can't be providing much. These have to be small-ish print runs that aren't meeting demand. Or seeing after market prices jump for the first steelbook has put it on the radar of flippers.

This thread is a good reminder as to why Sony keeps titles like these limited. They instantly sell out and people will happily pay premium price for them as soon as they're back in stock.

I don't get it. How does Sony make money from so many people selling their copies at premiums on Ebay? If it's so valued, sell it at a high MSRP forever.

True indeed. I literally bought gladiator 4k titans of Geek edition for 50 GBP pre order price. It literally sold out in Amazon UK/ France/Germany. Only place its available is Amazon Italy for 60 Euro and I think people are waiting for a price correction or something.

IDK why can't Sony simply sell it for 50-60 USD/GBP/Euro

My Import CD order that cost me £36.10 has arrived.

Very happy both my Wife are saving this for Christmas Day afternoon, although I'm about to see what this looks like on my Panasonic 55" OLED.

I have no use of the download code and it won't work in the UK, so anyone want it just PM me and I'll let you have it.

First come first served.
