Oh for sure. They either have stock on hand now or will shortly. Best Buy is the same with their listing which Amazon is currently price matching.

my last steelbook was in a bubble wrap slip, yes. that was the godfather steelbooks.

I was tempted to buy this 3rd copy and have it posted at my family in the US. I live in the UK. (1st copy Disc 1 has a read glitch and 2nd copy is replacement from SPHE from the Columbia Classics collection). Good thing is also that the scalpers have dropped the price down on Ebay from 100150USD/GBP to below 100 now.

I was lucky enough to get one of those Target orders in for $31, but I wouldn't pay $62 for it (current Amazon retailer price as of typing this) as more stock is likely to show up IMO.

It was $29.99 at Amazon earlier when they posted that. OnCurrently sold out again there, only third party sellers.

Other than to create some sort of FOMO effect, I do not understand Sony’s strategy here; how difficult can it be to produce a standard 4K release of one of the greatest films ever made? Sure, do additional steelbook releases and whatnot for collectors, but limiting this and other recent releases (The Bridge on the River Kwai, Guns of Navarone) to steelbooks only is just bizarre. This would be somewhat understandable for a boutique label, but not for a major studio.
