It arrived today, several days earlier than expected. In a box, bubble wrapped with large air pillows. Mint condition. Looking forward to watching it this weekend.

Same here. I wonder where Please Rewind got these. Nobody else has them.

Opened it up. Everything looks nice and it is a 4-disc set with digital copy sheet included.

Now hopefully my BBY order falls through. Looks like it will. Can't cancel it though. I will try chat and see if they will cancel it for me.

update: Nope. These BBY agents don't know how to cancel unshipped orders anymore. I've got reward certificates tied up with this order that I could use for something else.

[Show spoiler]
Your package should arrive Tue, October 31 - Fri, November 3

We're working on shipping this item. It's unlikely, but if your item isn't available by Mon, November 13, we'll issue a refund.

Poor packaging is NOT the courier's fault.

Always worth keeping an eye on PleaseRewind's Ebay shop. They had LOA long after it went OOS on the initial run and has been the same for several other Sony releases - eg Fright Night and Starship Troopers 4k Steelbooks. They also randomly got the Spiderman Digibook Coolection in stock for $25 about a year after it went OOP and scalpers were still selling it for silly money.

LOL, I would agree with you if this was about a few dings or dents in the steelbook indicative of reasonable handling, but those images look like HDS ran it over with the truck a few times before tossing it in the back. No level of (reasonable) packaging can protect from that. The courier absolutely takes much of the fault here.

Same here. I had basically given up on getting a copy, so am pretty happy.

The prices on ebay have started getting reasonable. Some 4k steelbooks are less than 50 USD

I guess the courier disliked the cover art even more than I do, and took matters into their own...um...wheels.

Having said that, still better than The Exorcist 4K here in the States...

No, reasonable is for the standard release to be released and sell for $25 or less on sale. (This forum area is for all 4K releases of the film, not just the limited edition gouge.)

Meanwhile, in the Titanic 4K thread, people are complaining because a steelbook release doesn't exist if I'm not mistaken.

Well I've seen a 4k steelbook sold for 85 GBP. The average price on ebay pre August 2023 was around 100-150 USD.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/31483325604...edia=WHATS_APP

Seeing it go as low as 44 USD is a bargain. I've got LOA from the Columbia 4k set as a replacement as my LoA 4k from India disc1 was faulty.

I missed out on the Walmart Blu-ray.com special! After getting to order one during those five-to-six times the steelbook was for sale on Amazon for a few hours at a time, I can wholeheartedly say pulling that damaged one delivered to me out of its bubble mailer was quite disappointing because I knew it was a limited purchase-by-chance pressing.

Still makes me scratch my head why a beloved classic like Lawrence of Arabia is this elusive sold-esoterically-at-odd-times 4K UHD?

Kudos to you guys for that awesome deal from PleaseRewind. Just got my copy today, well-packaged with cushioning and in perfect condition. My Best Buy order is still in limbo and is a few days away from canceling. Pretty disappointed in Best Buy though; I expected better.

My Best Buy order finally got deleted today and I got my rewards points back. Earlier it said I'd have to wait until the 13th but I guess they figured out they weren't getting any more.

Mine got deleted from my account also. I'm just waiting on my refund now. I'm pissed that I couldn't order one from Walmart, though, because the f****ng website was giving me a hard time about logging in.

I would've thought for sure Sony would replicate their fantastic Blu-ray Collector's set on 4K. Instead, they stick the upgrade in a box set with a bunch of other movies then release a limited edition steelbook that sells out quickly. This isn't some 90's B movie - it deserves a standalone collector's edition. I revisited the film last weekend and my jaw was on the floor - again. Spectacular PQ.

And that's why it hasn't got one. Not to mention that the scarcity makes it even more valuable. It attracts people that aren't even fans of the movie. Remember the Disney Vault strategy, how stingy Disney was with their biggest classics on home video?

Yes but Sony doesn't usually play those games, at least not until now.
