Besides Geoff D's review, below is the only review I found online that points out the flaws that Geoff D talked about and explained so well. The review below is from a german site, and the reviewer says that Lawrence Of Arabia's UHD is a truly fantastic presentation, but that it doesn’t receive a perfect score because the grain structure is not always flawless, it can be a bit inconsistent, and it might have been filtered.

Something I noticed with the listing for the Zavvi version - "exclusive until Feb 12th".
I assume that opens the door for a new release from someone else? I can see a German listing with a release date of Feb 14th. I don't understand the Studio's approach to this film on 4k. It's hardly like they're building demand. |

Sony's strategy of manufacturing rarity and demand worked, as these things tend to sell out quite quick even at ridiculous prices. But at this point I think it's time to bring out the keepcase version and make it widely available, because the steelbook's "Holy Grail" status has kinda past. |

I recently picked up the streaming 4K UHD restored version of Lawrence of Arabia. Although I haven't watched it yet, I noticed that the runtime of the movie differs between Vudu and MA.
Vudu: 222 minutes MA: 227 minutes Both are listed as the Restored Version. Does anyone know what is contained within those extra 5 minutes on the one available via MA? It appears that the physical 4K UHD versions are listed as 226 minutes. ![]() |

It wasn't there on mine. Just checked it again to see if I was mistaken and the intermission is not present on the restored version on Vudu, but it is there on the Movies Anywhere version.

Germany getting so many reissues of Sony discs because the distribution went from Sony directly to Plaion Pictures. Many titles were not available for months or even years in germany and now getting new releases via Plaion.
Sadly no Ghostbusters with DV in sight. |

Love that physical media allows us to not care about things like this.
Whoever snipped it out of the streaming master likely thought they were being rather sensible. Now viewers have to decide for themselves when exactly is the best time to pause the movie and make a sandwich. |
