A local repertory cinema is getting a 70mm print in to screen in August for the first time in 5 years so got that booked in with a friend (who’s favourite film it is) which I’ll save for my first watch. Glad to have secured the disc though, fingers crossed it survives shipping

Ah thank you! Someone, possibly you, posted when the Paprika 4K sb was in stock here which I’d never heard of before but ended up ordering from. So wouldn’t have thought to check that site again this time round. Have signed up to the mailing list and once I’ve received the 10% code (they’ve not come through yet) will put the order through and cancel the Amazon one

No problem mate, although it wasn’t me that mentioned Paprika.

An alternative would be DeepDiscount with DEEP10. They charge UK shipping though so better to use a reshipper like Stackry. If you haven’t tried Stackry before it is worth a look and you can get $10 off you first shipment(happy to provide referral code ). I reckon you would end up paying about £24 and could add a few extra things with no more shipping cost.

On the other hand, you should probably just get this ordered before they go out of stock again

I just ordered the 4K UHD Lawrence of Arabia (60th Anniversary Limited Edition) from DeepDiscount for $30.99, and used the DEEP10 coupon. Thanks!

Seems like it's still the 2022 stock being sold. Elevation Sales took over distribution of Sony physical media in UK. Seems like this reissue is not by Elevations sales but I could be wrong as ELevation sales just recycled the packaging.

I hope so. This is the first time I'm ordering a steelbook through them. I usually avoid steelbooks because they're usually more expensive and get damaged more easily, but there's not much of an option for LOA.

How many discs does this have? In the link you have provided, it says 2, but on Blu-ray.com, it says 4.

There is no 2 disc version, so it will be 4 discs.

How long does it take for the 10% voucher to be e-mailed from WOWHD? I signed up but am not getting one.

I used the code FLOWERS for 15% off in-stock items. Not sure if that is available to you, but it can be used immediately and, well, 15 is more than 10. Came out to $28.25 total.

thanks for the tips, I've never bought off DD nor used a reshipper before but will definitely baeR in mind as a future option. I didn't get the WOWHD 10% off code through in email in the end (maybe they ended it?) so just ordered as is before it went yes. Turns out the amazon one wasn't sold by amazon it was another seller (i can't remember if i was aware of this on purchasing if i did notice at the time i didn't remember) so only got confirmation that they *won't* be cancelling my order today despite cancelling within the hour of making the order the other day. So will have two copies of this shortly *facepalm* never mind
[Show spoiler]OTOH on ordering the wowhd one, i got a message from my bank saying the transaction had been declined (for anti-fraud/security purposes) and that i'd need to re-do it (i.e. re-order) if i wanted to complete it/for it to go through but having received an order confirmation email from wowhd i emailed their CS advising them of the message from my bank + order confirmation email and to ask what's it all look like on their end, they said everything's fine and got confirmation today it'd been dispatched. So perhaps I ended up getting it for free? doubt it lol I need to check my account to see if the funds got taken out or not

mine never arrived so ended up ordering it without (speculated in my reply above that maybe it was an offer they no longer do? not sure)

Damn. I did not get the e-mail nor did the FLOWERS work. I think I'll have to order before it disappears- it is a favourite film of mine, after all (even though I do not have a 4k TV, I hope to buy one soon).

It is a reprint, but it is still limited. It was reprinted before, but still became fairly scarce. The Bridge on the River Kwai, Starship Troopers, and Heavy Metal 2-Film Steelbook also newly reprinted.

It’s not limited if they keep making more of them

Yep… a big problem with the disc market is this ‘limited’ availability. In reality everything is limited but they just keep this marketing moniker up to create artificial demand. They know there’s a market for this stuff but they do the limited thing to keep prices artificially high. If they keep reprinting that thing it shouldn’t cost more than $25 even with a classic title like Lawrence.
